SAP Global Security & Cloud Compliance’s mission is to manage security and compliance risks for SAP. We do this by reinforcing a security and compliance-first culture, by aligning people, processes and technology to protect customer business operations, the company and its employees.


The Security Awareness & Enablement unit engages, educates and enables security and compliance across SAP. As much as we’re ensuring SAP compliance on the awareness and training aspect, our mission strives to raise security mindset, engage the workforce and support behavioral changes with a stronger security culture.

 

What you’ll do

In your role as (Security) DevOps Engineer you will help on driving security awareness programs, managing infrastructure, and participating in security Capture The Flag (CTF). In this role, you will own and deliver on the following key responsibilities:

  • Contributing to our team’s success: Your role will involve building secure, reliable, and scalable infrastructures to deliver security services.
  • Continuous Learning and Innovation: You will be eager to explore new technologies and integrate them. This may involve evaluating the potential benefits of new tools and practices.
  • Security Awareness: Help to implement security awareness applications to educate internal teams about the best security practices.
  • Security CTF Participation: Actively engage in security Capture The Flag (CTF) to enhance your security skills and apply those skills to build the next year competition content.
  • Development: Develop and maintain cloud applications with a focus on security using programming languages such as JavaScript and/or Python.
  • Collaboration and Autonomous Work: Collaborate effectively while also being capable of working independently when necessary. You will be responsible for delivering assets over a predefined roadmap. 
  • Quality Assurance: Maintain the highest standards of coding quality and security.

 

What you bring  

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science with a minimum 3 years of relevant experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies
  • Fluent in English is mandatory
  • Working experience in DevOps (or DevSecOps) with Kubernetes and Docker is mandatory
  • Working experience with JavaScript, Node.Js is mandatory
  • Experience with CI/CD systems (Jenkins) is a plus
  • Cloud infrastructure knowledge and understanding basics of IAAS and PAAS
  • Ability to solve technical challenges, and collaborate with other team members with a quality-aware mindset
  • Sense of humor

 

Nice to have:

  • Python and Web Development experience
  • Cybersecurity skills (participation in security CTFs or similar competitions, indicating a proactive approach to improving security skills)
  • Multilingual (German, French preferred) would be beneficial
