This apprenticeship is part of an international training program on security testing, specifically designed for SAP developers. The aim is to provide participants with the necessary skills to effectively use various security testing tools such as GitHub Advanced Security, Checkmarx ONE, Zap, and Burp. These training sessions are designed to strengthen the understanding of the tools, how to use them, and the right timing to conduct the tests. Additionally, the training introduces best practices and recommendations for securing applications.
What you'll do
Your role will be to support the implementation of virtual training sessions, facilitated by a virtual machine (VM) assigned to each developer. This VM is pre-configured with security testing tools as well as the vulnerable SAPGoat application.
Your main missions will be:
Development of a Monitoring System:
- Create an advanced dashboard to ensure the proper functioning of the security testing tools
- Develop and optimize reference pipelines using tools such as Jenkins and Cribl
- Set up effective alerts using SignalFX and ServiceNow (sNOW)
Maintenance and Evolution of Infrastructure:
- Regularly update the testing tools on the VMs
- Automate configuration steps to simplify the user experience for participants
Depending on your interests and skills, additional opportunities may include:
Development on Training Applications:
- Contribute to the development and testing of SAPGoat, a vulnerable web application used for demonstrations, integrating Java and JavaScript (SAP UI5)
- Work on Atman, a web application for organizing and automating training sessions, using Python and JavaScript (SAP UI5)
Technical Coordination:
- Provide technical support and ensure smooth coordination for virtual sessions
Digital Education:
- Participate in team projects focused on applying artificial intelligence to cybersecurity, in collaboration with the Maison de l’Intelligence Artificielle and Terra Numerica
- Contribute to scientific education, particularly during science festivals
What you bring
You possess the following skills:
Technical Skills:
- Understanding of DevOps practices, including process automation, infrastructure management, and the use of tools like Docker, Jenkins, and Cribl
- Development skills, including a strong command of web technologies. Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, and Python is a plus
Behavioral Skills:
- A strong interest in cybersecurity
- Quick learning abilities
- Analytical mindset
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency in English (working language)
- Autonomy and proactivity
Meet your team
The apprenticeship will take place on the SAP LABS France site, integrated into the team specializing in security testing and open-source software security. The main mission of this team is to assist SAP developers in the use of security testing tools.
Duration: 12 to 24 months
Start date: September 2025
This contract is subject to remuneration in line with the applicable collective agreement (Convention SYNTEC).
