As part of the Customer Experience & Solution (CXS) Development, Technology, and Infrastructure team within Customer Innovation Services (CIS) in the Customer Services & Delivery (CS&D) board area, we are the thought leaders in Application Lifecycle Management (ALM).

As part of the SAP Cloud ALM Implementation, you will build high-performance cloud-native applications using Java and SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), working with a team of experts on scalable microservices that impact thousands of users worldwide. SAP Cloud ALM, our flagship solution, plays a pivotal role in supporting the complete application lifecycle for all SAP solutions.

 

What you'll do:

 

As an Apprentice Developer for SAP Cloud ALM, you will be an integral part of our Kafka team, contributing to the development of groundbreaking applications and services on the SAP BTP (Cloud Foundry and Kubernetes environments).

Your primary responsibility will be to collaborate with our dedicated SCRUM team to build proof-of-concept (POC) applications, ensuring the continuous evolution and enhancement of our product, master principles for scalable and resilient applications (Cloud-Native Development), engage in collaborative, automated, and continuously improving workflows (DevOps Practices) and contribute to seamless software updates and improvements (CI/CD Implementation).

 

Responsabilities:

  • Work closely with the SAP Cloud ALM development Kafka team to develop innovative apps as POCs.

  • Collaborate with the SCRUM team to contribute to the end-to-end development lifecycle of SAP Cloud ALM.

  • Gain hands-on experience in Java microservices development, focusing on event-driven communication with Apache Kafka.

  • Assist in the creation of microservices, libraries, and user interfaces, playing a key role in shaping the future of SAP Cloud ALM.

What you bring:

  • Master’s student or equivalent.

  • Enthusiastic about software development and digital transformation.

  • Basic understanding of Java (Spring Boot) programming and microservices architecture.

  • Basic knowledge of Angular for front-end development.

  • Eagerness to learn and contribute within an agile SCRUM environment.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Meet your team:

This apprenticeship is based in the vibrant SAP Labs France, located in Sophia-Antipolis. You will be joining a dynamic and collaborative team dedicated to pushing the boundaries of innovation in SAP Cloud ALM development.

 

Duration: 12 months

Start date: September 2025

 

This contract is subject to remuneration in line with the applicable collective agreement (Convention SYNTEC).
