PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
Want to be part of a team automating deployment of customer-ready Commerce environments, including a customer-specific CI/CD pipeline and a customer portal?

 

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
As Full Stack Java Cloud Developer, you
• Develop web services and applications using mainly Java EE, Spring framework, Git, Maven and JavaScript for the user interface
• Work as part of a truly cross-functional, agile development team embracing scrum approach
• Contribute to ensuring high-quality code through following best practices and design patterns
• Design and write automated unit, integration and acceptance tests
• Participate in design workshops and bug hunting sessions
• Actively participate in addressing non-functional requirements such as performance, security, continuous integration, migration and compatibility
• You love to build and operate highly-scalable cloud solutions
• Checking out new technologies and introducing them to others in order to promote innovation and create business value is your inner motivation
• Collaborate with members of the wider product development team across multiple international locations

 

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
Required skills

• BA/BS/Master degree in a computer related field (or equivalent work experience)
• Mastering Java programming and deep understanding of Java EE and Spring framework
• Familiarity with at least one cloud solution such as Amazon, Azure, Google, Openstack, or VMWare
• Experience with deployment of java enterprise applications (containerized deployment, e.g. docker)
• Strong understanding of design patterns
• Believer in pair programming, test driven development, and continuous integration
• Experience of agile & scrum development principles and practices
• Knowledge of peripheral tools: issue tracking (Jira), Wiki (Confluence), source code management (Git), build (Maven) & testing frameworks
• Ability to adapt fast to changing technologies and frameworks
• Ability and willingness to work as part of a self-organizing team
• Self-motivated to bring innovation and support the team challenges
• Passion for delivering high-quality working code frequently
• Desire to continue learning and improving
• Proven experience in working as part of distributed teams
• Good verbal and written English language skills


Preferred skills
• Knowledge of the enterprise ecommerce industry
• Strong German language skills (verbal and written)
 
WORK EXPERIENCE
• 3+ years of relevant work experience
