SAP Fieldglass is looking for an Information Security Analyst with SIEM and automation experience to join our Security team. The Senior Security Analyst will be responsible for supporting host based and network defenses, including scanning the network for vulnerabilities, identifying relevant and developing threats, investigating and correlating security events via a SIEM/logs, recommending corrective actions, and developing solutions for security issues.  SAP Fieldglass Security has a strong focus on growth and learning through ongoing professional development.


What You Will Deliver

  1. Splunk Daily Operations
    1. Review Indexing sizes to ensure logging levels are within our licensing
    2. Review Indexer Stats for stability (RAM, CPU, Indexing, etc)
    3. Review alerts on a daily basis
    4. Ensure all logging sources are accounted for and inventories are accurate
    5. Configure, update and deploy new Forwarders as needed
    6. Create new dashboards for security monitoring and administration
    7. Create lookup lists to give data more context
    8. Make searches/dashboard more efficient and update outdated searches
    9. Onboard new data sources into Splunk
  2. Assist Compliance Analysts with generating automated Compliance Evidence reports
  3. Network and Vulnerability Scanning
    1. Monitor and manage weekly scans
      1. Review vulnerabilities and work with IT to have them addressed in a timely fashion
      1. Ensure Assets and new IP subnets are added/updated in the vulnerability scanner
      2. Create new scans and reports as necessary
      3. Review scan results for false positives and inconsistencies
    1. Deploy new scanners as necessary
    2. Review vulnerabilities directly with the Patch Management Team
      1. Ensure machines missing critical patches are addressed
      1. Ensure machines at high risk are addressed
      2. Maintain metrics to track patching progress
  1. Automation
    1. Script out repetitive tasks (Powershell / Python / Bash)
    2. Automate data movement between systems
  2. Assist with the development and maintenance of security standards and procedures.
    1. Document procedures for critical tasks as directed by Senior Security Analyst
  3. Research security trends to apply to our monitoring
    1. Attend online webinars on network/log/forensics and obtain information on Indicators or Compromise (IOCs). 
  4. Fieldglass Offices
    1. Regular physical security compliance walkthrough checks
  5. Training/Certification
    1. Read technical/security articles regularly to learn industry standards
    2. Attend online security webinars


What You Need to Bring

  • 4+ years of information security and network experience
  • Bachelor and/or master’s degree in business administration, Computer Security, Computer Science, or related field
  • Certifications related to Security such as Security+, SANS GIAC, or CISSP
  • Splunk use case development or architecture and infrastructure knowledge is required
  • PowerShell and Python scripting skills
  • Knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK and Cyber Kill Chain methods and frameworks
  • High level of knowledge in IT security principles and cloud
  • Proficiency with Vulnerability Management Tools (e.g. Tenable.io/Nessus, Qualys, Nexpose)
  • Ability to research, analyze and resolve complex problems with minimal supervision and escalate issues as appropriate
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to effectively manage multiple activities, including cross-team dependent activities simultaneously
  • The ability to work effectively in collaboration with other members of a team or/and other professionals with minimal supervision
  • The ability to quickly learn new processes, new technologies, and adapt to change
