Job Title: Development Senior Manager

Location: New York, NY

 

Purpose and Objective: 

SAP Labs, LLC seeks a Development Senior Manager at our New York, NY location to oversee design systems and global production design for all key seasonal retail moments, product launches and campaigns working closely with partners and stakeholders across the organization to deliver inspiring creative that is also effective at driving engagement.

 

Expectations and Tasks:

Lead the entire studio UX designers, visual designers, writers, design PMs, and researchers. Develop and maintain the SAP Design Product Expression. Responsible for creating messaging frameworks and visual guidance across all Design initiatives and campaigns. Maintain Product Expression guidelines and educate team on Product Expression. Deliver experiences for product launches, as well as functional in serving customer needs and decision-making. Expand insights and research capability that serve not only design efforts, but also partners with the broader SAP Design experimentation team to increasingly leverage customer insights for decision-making and experimentation. Oversee the continued evolution of a web design library of navigation headers, templates, and components, leveraged across SAP to drive consistency in Product Expression and user experience. Use Design Thinking or other processes, help drive thought leadership and work across disciplines to define new user experiences that are innovative, solve real customer problems and have impact on the business. Create engaging and compelling customer experience using various design, UX, mobile, video, motion design, and web technologies. Build strong relationships across disciplines and stakeholders. Lead high-performing team of full-time employees and vendors, with specialties in design, UX, research, and operations. Manage and oversee agency partners. Manage budget and make short-term and long-term investment choices for how to further evolve the studio and business needs. Ensure that all experiences meet high accessibility standards, and most importantly to design and deliver experiences for inclusivity.

 

Education and Qualifications/Skills and Competencies:

Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, User Experience Design, Graphic Design, Studio Arts, or a related field of study and 10 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related occupation. The Company will also accept a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, User Experience Design, Graphic Design, Studio Arts, or a related field of study and 8 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.

 

Work Experience:

Experience must involve 4 years in the following:

  • Create design strategy for digital transformation projects and programs using the Human-Centered Design and Research methodology;
  • Implement Design Thinking and Foresight processes to foster innovation;
  • Design and implement user experience (UX) and Visual Art Design Process training;
  • Design and execute product experience initiative and deliverables using industry standard design tools including Figma, Figjam, and Mural;
  • Create visuals for new digital products and devices in Illustrator and Photoshop;
  • Create, write, design and produce concepts and briefs;
  • Build and manage global UX design teams, innovation teams, and graphic design teams; and
  • Utilize Inclusive Management techniques, SMART management tool, and project management tools including Planner.

 

Travel: N/A. Telecommuting permitted. Position must be based within the continental U.S.

Compensation Range Transparency: The annual base salary range for this position is $268,725 - $456,900. SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is $358,300 - $609,200. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process.
