What you’ll do:
As our Principal Design Strategist, you'll be the driving force behind our product experience strategy, focusing on first-use and nurture content. You'll work closely with product teams, content designers, and executive leadership to craft compelling narratives that guide users through their journey with our enterprise software. Your strategies will shape how users interact with our products from day one and how they grow with us over time. You'll be part of turning complex software into intuitive, engaging experiences that keep our customers coming back for more.
What you bring:
You're a master of user experience, with a keen eye for detail and a broad strategic vision. Your background is a mix of design, strategy, and user psychology, honed over years in the fast-paced world of enterprise software. You have a talent for simplifying the complex, turning intricate software features into clear, compelling user journeys. Your toolkit includes everything from user research and data analysis to storytelling and visual communication. You're as comfortable sketching out a user flow as you are presenting to C-level executives. Most importantly, you bring an insatiable curiosity about how people interact with technology and a drive to make those interactions as smooth and rewarding as possible.
Expectations and tasks

Develop comprehensive strategies for first-use experiences and ongoing user engagement and learning

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align product design with business goals

Create user personas and journey maps to inform content and design decisions

Lead workshops and brainstorming sessions to generate innovative ideas

Analyze user data and feedback to continually refine and improve product experiences

Present strategies and recommendations to senior leadership

Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in UX design and content strategy

Mentor junior team members and foster a culture of user-centric design
About you
-
10+ years of experience in design, with a strong focus on UI design and at least 3 years in a leadership role

Strong portfolio demonstrating your strategic thinking and problem-solving skills

Experience managing the design of a variety of user experiences, demonstrating versatility and adaptability

Strong understanding of UX/UI design principles, user-centered design, and interaction design

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts and rationale to stakeholders at all levels

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards of creativity and attention to detail

Proficiency in industry-standard design software (e.g., Figma, Mural)

Compensation Range Transparency: SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 185100 - 403800(USD) USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
