Within this group, the Brand Strategy team manages the brand fundamentals, including defining what the SAP brand stands for. Specifically, we are responsible for brand, brand insights and creative optimization research, brand architecture and naming, as well as corporate positioning and messaging. We collaborate with and act as trusted advisors on these topics to colleagues in marketing, product management, and throughout the organization.  



As a brand strategy and messaging expert in the Brand Messaging team within Brand Strategy, you will lead the development of messaging across various domains including corporate, products/solutions, and campaigns, shaping and maintaining the consistency and effectiveness of the SAP brand message.  


This will include:  

  • Bringing the brand to life by crafting external facing messaging for campaigns and other marketing activities across products and platforms  

  • Leading high visibility projects and collaborating effectively with team members and stakeholders   

  • Analyzing, developing, and articulating complex concepts and data in a simple, clear, and compelling way, both in written and oral communications   

  • Managing projects, defining deliverables and providing strategic advice and interpretation of situations   

  • Building partnerships with key decision makers across organizations   



  • 10 to 15+ years of experience in brand strategy, with specific subject matter expertise and experience in messaging across large, matrixed organizations   

  • Demonstrated ability in developing and crafting effective external facing messaging using audience insights for various aspects of a brand, including corporate, products/solutions, and campaigns   

  • Strong storytelling skills and experience 

  • Stakeholder management experience and executive presence for effectively providing brand strategy services to senior SAP executives 

  • Experience in B2B required; with a preference for those with experience in enterprise software, tech, or IT industries 

  • Experience in brand strategy/consulting (agency or client side) or product marketing is a strong plus   

  • A consultative, collaborative, and service-oriented style 

  • A proactive mindset, sense of urgency, and “can do” attitude that relentlessly drives initiatives and goals to success   

  • A passion for brand building and messaging that engages audiences and fuels business growth   

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required; MBA/Master's degree or equivalent preferred

Compensation Range Transparency: SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the hourly base salary rate range applicable for the posted role.
