Within SAP Corporate Marketing, we are constantly striving to bring out our best by applying new, actionable insights about SAP customers, prospects, and the SAP ecosystem at large. To further our mission, we are seeking a seasoned research manager to lead our audience insights team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in people management; research methods, processes, and best practices; the internal publication and dissemination of audience insights.

 

Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage the day-to-day activities of the Audience Insights team, including:

· Recruit, mentor, and lead a team of dedicated researchers, fostering a collaborative and stimulating work environment, setting clear objectives, and ensuring they are met.

· Design and execute research - including global surveys, interviews, focus groups, observational studies – through internal team and 3rd party research partners.

· Build and maintain a central knowledge base, that organizes research results, data, and insights for the Marketing & Solutions board area.

· Capture and translate audience insights from internal and 3rd party research into best practices, actions, tactics for marketers.

· Define best practices and processes to engage 3rd parties, and emerging research providers, to support the organization’s research needs.

· Collaborate with all stakeholder groups: building relationships, managing expectations, and driving progress.

· Establish and maintain relationships with external research partners for collaboration opportunities.

· Maintain expert knowledge of trends in research methods, procedures, and tools to ensure the research practices remain effective and efficient.

 

Ideal Candidate Profile

· A minimum of eight years of progressive leadership experience in research roles, preferably in a B2B and/or technology company.

· Proven experience in creating effective research strategies aligned with business goals.

· Proven experience in a wide range of research methods, including surveys, interviews, focus groups, observational studies, data analytics.

· Exceptional leadership and team management skills.

· The ability to work under tight deadlines and high-pressure situations.

· Ability to form connections with internal and external partners and maintain friendly, positive, and productive relationships.

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

· Highly strategic mindset, including strong instincts and a demonstrated ability to surface key insights, identify research opportunities, and to develop, execute and deliver on plans.

· An innate curiosity to dive deeper, to get beneath the surface and find that intricate detail that leads to Aha moments.

· Ability and willingness to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing work environment.

· A driven, highly motivated nature and a commitment to improvement.

Compensation Range Transparency: SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 141800 - 323900 (US Standard) / 160700 - 367200 (NYC) USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
