The collaborative enterprise planning market is evolving from enterprise performance management (EPM) to extended Planning & Analysis (xP&A), and is expected to grow to €35B by 2025. SAP leads the xP&A market with solutions that provide a holistic real-time view of strategic and operational planning for our customers worldwide. The planning opportunity includes Financial, Marketing, Sales, HR, Production, Supply Chain, Customer Service, and traditional Enterprise Performance Management (EPM).  

Extended Planning & Analytics is one of the fastest growing Cloud business areas at SAP, and is a critical part of the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP). The. We are seeking a strategic thinker and leader who will take this business to the next level and drive a holistic planning sales motion across multiple solution areas. The successful candidate will lead the Global solution incubation sales organization to build the market for SAP Planning, drive pipeline, win net new customers, drive thought leadership in the planning space and create customer references.  

The Global leader will be part of the Business Technology Platform (BTP) Customer Success Leadership Team, and manage regional leaders and direct sellers to build the market for Planning globally.  



Set vision and strategy for the Solution Incubation team, to ensure growth globally in all revenue streams 

Build and lead a dedicated XP&A Global sales team with a “hunter” mindset, Value Selling in the Planning market to support our vision of LACE (Land, Adopt, Consume and Expand) 

Build a strong network of executive relationships with key customers and partners  

Act as an xP&A thought leader across Customer Success, Marketing & Solution Management and Development teams  

Develop a strong, collaborative internal network with the Global, Regional, Line of Business and Business Technology Platform leadership teams to effective drive the Planning business holistically  

Design and execute Planning GTM to drive pipeline progression & quality through systematic sales initiatives  

Provide coaching and account strategy support to develop expansion opportunities for Planning from our existing customer base and land new target accounts 

Provide management forecasts and clear visibility on sales and revenue performance for Planning by collaborating effectively with regional sales leadership teams  



Minimum 15 years working experience, with at least 5 years in pure cloud sales with a strong focus on driving net new business and driving growth via footprint expansion  

Minimum 5 years management experience in a fast-paced, consultative and competitive team-selling environment required  

Must have general familiarity with consultative selling methodologies  

Prior experience in selling Planning, with strong expertise selling to the Office of the CFO, Supply Chain Management and Enterprise-wide planning  

Proven track record of building and leading successful SaaS sales teams  

Deep understanding of the Planning ecosystem, industry, and key players 

Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree preferred 

Excellent written and verbal communication skills 

Ability to lead and manage in a constantly changing and evolving work environment 

Business level English: Fluent
