Role Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and passionate individual to take on the role of Head of HanaHaus Newport Beach. As the Head of HanaHaus, you will act as the general manager and be responsible for overseeing daily operations, engaging with the community, and driving the strategic growth of HanaHaus. Your mission is to ensure that HanaHaus thrives as a hub for creativity, entrepreneurship, technology, and innovation. You will be the bridge between the local community and SAP, helping to build and nurture relationships that align with HanaHaus’s mission.

 

Key Responsibilities:

1. Operational Management:

· Oversee daily operations to ensure a smooth, efficient, and high-quality customer experience.

· Lead and manage the HanaHaus team, including recruitment, training, performance management, and professional development.

· Collaborate with the facilities team to maintain a pristine and functional physical space, upholding the highest standards of cleanliness and safety.

2. Community Engagement:

· Build and nurture relationships with local entrepreneurs, businesses, universities, and other key stakeholders to create a vibrant and engaged community.

· Plan and host community events, workshops, and meetups that promote collaboration and innovation on topics such as AI, entrepreneurship, design, technology, and more.

· Serve as the public face of HanaHaus, representing SAP organization and the space at community events.

3. Strategic Development:

· Develop and implement strategies to grow the customer base and increase workspace utilization.

· Identify and pursue partnerships and collaborations that align with HanaHaus's mission and goals.

· Analyze performance metrics and customer feedback to continuously improve services and offerings.

4. Financial Oversight / P&L Responsibilities:

· Monitor monthly financial performance, including revenue, expenses, and profitability.

· Prepare and manage the annual budget, ensuring that financial targets are achieved.

· Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising service quality.

5. Social Media, Marketing, and Brand Awareness:

· Develop and execute marketing strategies to raise awareness of HanaHaus and attract new customers via various channels, including social media, digital marketing, website, newsletter, blog posts, and event promotions.

· Manage content creation for social media channels, newsletters, and other communication platforms to engage with the community and enhance brand awareness.

· Collaborate with the marketing team to create promotional materials and campaigns.

6. Partnership & Community Management:

· Manage and collaborate with various SAP teams, including Sales, Facilities, and Marketing & Communications, etc.

· Maintain a strong partnership with Blue Bottle Coffee, working closely with the café lead and regional managers.

· Oversee and collaborate with EFSM teams, including front desk staff, operations manager, and facility coordinator.

· Build and maintain a network with local organizations such as Lido Marina Village, the City of Newport Beach, and the Chamber of Commerce.

7. System & Application Management:

· Act as the liaison between system admin users and the engineering team.

· Gather, consolidate, and report feedback, bugs or any down time of the system to the engineering team.

· Continuously proposing and collaborating new future feature ideas to enhance the online experience, as needed.

 

Qualifications

· Proven experience in managing operations, people, community engagement, and strategic development.

· Strong leadership skills with experience in team management.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Experience in event planning and execution.

· Financial expertise, including experience in budgeting and financial reporting.

· Marketing and social media know-how is a plus.

· Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.

Compensation Range Transparency: SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 117300 - 246400USD) USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
