SUMMARY

The Global Industry and Value Advisory team is responsible of the successful execution of SAP’s Industry and Value mandate. With 600+ IVAs around the world, the IVA team is focused on championing collaborative customer engagements that create business and societal value leveraging SAP’s innovations. The Global IVA team is responsible of setting the global team’s strategy, customer engagement methodology, supporting value management tools, content, thought leadership and talent enablement programs. The team is also responsible of supporting key customer engagements and working with our technology, innovation, engineering and GTM teams to ensure that the value dimension is considered and incorporated at the point of solution design and commercialization.

The Value Content and Thought Leadership team owns SAP’s value management platform, builds value content and thought leadership in support of our key GTM solutions and innovations, and drives enablement across all field-facing organizations. They’re also responsible of supporting Board-sponsored special projects where the value dimension is key for new programs success.

THE ROLE

This role is a Global Vice President who will lead one of two “Value Content and Thought Leadership” teams. The team consists of 8 high performance colleagues. Key success criteria in the role:

  1. Ability to define and execute on a comprehensive value content and thought leadership strategy that supports our commercial goals to scale customer adoption of SAP solutions
  2. Ability to communicate and engage with senior customer executive, industry analysts, market researchers, academia and SAP stakeholders, to explore and leverage the latest value management ideas, research, feedback and best practices in driving value content creation. Originality of thought process and creativity is key to set new standards for value management in the software industry
  3. Ability to articulate to an executive audience the outcomes of the content strategy with focus on the value technology innovations can drive - connecting strategic priorities to business capabilities to SAP solutions
  4. Ability to drive and scale major programs focused on business value and experience across the organization
  5. Solution management for our value management platform. Lead the team in defining the requirements, maintaining, and driving enablement modules for SAP’s Value Lifecycle Manager, in close collaboration with the value platform engineering team and the field value advisory teams (end users). The goals it to elevate the tool’s capabilities to be the best in the industry and maximize user adoption to increase our customer engagement win rates. Prior experience in leveraging VLM in customer engagement is highly recommended for this role.
  6. Collaborating with global program leaders in building relevant cross-functional programs, ensure best practice sharing, knowledge management and continuous productivity improvement across all regions and lines of business
  7. Expertise in building and growing a team in alignment with the overall strategy and the vision defined at the Board and L1, while considering the development plans for the individual team members
  8. Excellent people management skills with relevant past-experience to lead a diverse and high growth team with empathy, focused on content creation and value-based customer engagements
  9. Execution and reporting on operational action plans, setting team-work priorities, team budget, career progression and development plans, and performance management programs

THE REQUIREMENTS

  1. +12 years of experience in people management and /or leading value-based transformation engagements
  2. MBA or relevant professional qualification with strong analytical capabilities and research-oriented mindset
  3. Creativity and originality of thought in content creation and curation
  4. Role can be based anywhere globally
