ROLE DESCRIPTION:
The primary purpose of the Bid Council Manager role is to drive an effective and consistent bid management process to ensure compliance with the North America Services bid management policy, tools, procedures, and methodology.
EXPECTATIONS & TASKS:
- Cover all aspects of Bid Council management and administration.
- Work with stakeholders including Services Sales, Services Delivery, Commercial Business Partners, Risk Management, Procurement, Customer Business Support, Solutioning Leads, and Business and Finance approvers.
- Support the bid team (including opportunity owners, solution leads, and other involved areas) on procedures, policies and risk assessments associated with the deal execution process.
- Ensure that Bid Council documents are compliant with bid management standards.
- Be responsible for Market Unit and North America regional approval activities, including scheduling, moderating, and documenting Bid Council meetings, while working with Market Unit and North America Services Sales, Delivery and Finance leadership.
- Follow up on action items identified during Bid Council meetings.
- Provide visibility to the management team and react quickly to any issue that might put opportunities at risk.
- Act as a process guide in the services community.
- Participate in skill development and enablement programs for Services.
- Interact with other Bid Council Managers for knowledge sharing, best practices sharing, and lessons learned from top opportunities.
- Maintain Bid Council tracker assuring accuracy in response to audit requests and Harmony quotations.
- Identify and support process, policy, or Delegation of Authority enhancements which improve efficiency, effectiveness, and/or compliance.
- Ability to work flexible hours since the Bid Council Manager may support any Market Unit across the USA.
WORK EXPERIENCE (preferred):
- Microsoft applications including PowerPoint, Teams, Excel, etc.
- Hosting virtual meetings.
- Note-taking.
- Managing inbox in Outlook.
- Working with virtual teams and collaborate across organizations.
- Experience communicating with C-level executives.
- Decision-making within own area of responsibility / project.
- Delivering training / enablement.
EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS & COMPENTENCIES:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, accounting/finance, operations, economics, information sciences, or management.
- Good communication skills and active listening.
- Fluent English, written and spoken, is required.
- Organization and process-oriented skills.
- Attention to detail, ability to work independently once trained.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem solving.
- Commitment to the success of customers, partners, colleagues, and SAP.
- Ability to identify and provide best practice recommendations.
- Prior part-time, entry-level, and/or internship work experience is a plus.
- USA work permit is required.

Compensation Range Transparency: SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the hourly base salary rate range applicable for the posted role. The targeted range for this position is 45300 - 77000(USD) USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidates will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. SAP offers limited benefits for employees hired into hourly or like roles subject to appliable plan/policy terms.
