Location: Palo Alto, CA preferred or West Coast remote / hybrid


The GCS IAM team focuses on governing risk-based controls to support Identity and Access Management (IAM) initiatives across SAP. The program’s objectives are to strengthen and mature SAP’s IAM capabilities by providing governance across identity management, multifactor authentication, privilege access management, among other disciplines. We are seeking a Project Manager with experience managing teams that analyze processes, write governance and policy documents and work with Lines of Business stakeholders to achieve higher security postures. The role requires interaction with all SAP Lines of Business and Global security team, providing project management and/or business analysis support across multiple work streams. Projects will focus on the hardening of Active Directory and Domain Services, requirement gathering and deployment of PAM and multi-factor authentication/RSA solutions, and implementation of automated workflows to support general Identity Lifecycle Management processes.


How You Might Contribute

  • Manage projects through their complete lifecycle
  • Facilitate discussions, conduct meetings, and drive initiatives and issues to conclusion
  • Consult with stakeholders to gather and document requirements and specifications for solutions and enhancements 
  • Oversee data gathering and analysis by multiple teams interfacing with LOBs
  • Communicate project plans, develop reports, and provide routine updates on project status and issues/risks to stakeholders and senior management
  • Document and maintain program related training and awareness materials and communications


A Successful Candidate Should

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • 7+ years of experience in project management and business analysis with experience using a structured methodology
  • Proven ability to work independently and in multi-tasking environments
  • Strong communications skills & facilitation experience across all levels of leadership
  • Advanced analytical problem-solving skills, including the ability to analyze datasets and present in a format that facilitates senior management decision making
  • Experience with analyzing and documenting business requirements and interfacing with application developers
  • Experience in developing and presenting metrics and performance for a large program
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle
  • Experience managing both process improvement and software development projects
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio)
  • In-depth knowledge of technology, security, risk, and compliance best practices, preferably in the Identity and Access Management discipline
  • Experience with Active Directory services, Thycotic/CyberArk or other privileged access management solutions, and RSA authentication solutions
  • Knowledge of authentication and authorization techniques, processes, and protocols
  • Prior experience with automation and orchestration projects is a plus
  • Able to consider virtual candidates but all candidates need to already reside in the USA to be considered.
