SAP NS2 is seeking a Senior Support Engineer for the CAS Delivery Team.

 

PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

Implementing best-in-class operations procedures to manage business processes in Cloud and SAP HANA environments is the key challenge for SAP and its customers. A key service for customers during the operations phase at NS2 is the SAP Cloud Application Services (SAP CAS). The mission of NS2 CAS Delivery is to maximize customer success in the run phase of the SAP software lifecycle by taking over responsibility for smooth end to end operations and lowering customers total cost of operation.
 

CAS offerings provide company-specific post-implementation support, optimization, and improvement to manage day-to-day application, technical and database operations in a secure cloud environment.

 

The Senior Support Engineer brings technical and/or application knowledge to deliver standard and custom CAS Packages for our NS2 Cloud customers. You will be responsible for the technical integration of SAP software, release upgrades, application lifecycle management as well as operation and maintenance of technical SAP landscapes. You will analyze customer’s business requirements or technical problems and act as a technical advisor and problem solver to clients and our partners. This includes root cause analysis and optimization in both technical and/or application areas in heterogeneous system landscapes.
 

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The Senior Support Engineer is responsible for delivering Standard and Custom CAS Packages for secure NS2 Cloud Customers.
  • Broad knowledge of data governance, data quality, and remediation methods such that uniformity, accuracy, semantic consistency, and accountability of the enterprise’s shared master data assets are achieved and maintained through established best practices, stewardship frameworks, tools, and processes.
  • Review and consolidate various information related to data volume analysis, data growth, and impact; these may be from but not limited to: Earlywatch reports, other SAP service reports, DBA Cockpit data, system logs, projects in flight, project pipeline, onboarding plans, etc.
  • Functional and technical expertise in the data quality domain.
  • Architecture and delivery of innovative solutions around data governance & data quality within the Enterprise Cloud Services environments.
  • Broad conceptual understanding of data governance processes & methods as related to achieving and maintaining data quality.
  • Be the trusted advisor to customers related to addressing data quality issues.
  • Articulate SAP’s data governance solutions & strategy along with the value added by our service offerings in the subject area.
  • Work closely with your team to help build knowledge, cross-training within the data quality and data governance solution area.
  • Excellent analytical skills, face-to-face and remote communication skills with proven ability to bridge Technology and Business goals to provide productive solutions.
  • Consolidate volume, impact, and growth analyses into a report which summarizes customer's data volume status, projection, and risks.
  • Develop data volume strategy (archiving, warm tier storage, consolidation, hardware upgrades).

 

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Management Information Systems, or Science (Mathematics, Computer Science, Chemistry, Physics, etc.).
  • 6+ years using one or more SAP technologies such as MDG/MDM, Information Steward, Data Services, Data Intelligence, Information Lifecycle Management, and/or Data Tiering/Aging/Native Storage Extension
  • 5+ years of discovery, planning, applying & implementing data quality remediation solutions (not necessarily SAP related but would be great if they were).
  • 2+ years of experience in conversion of MDG hub: from ERP to S/4HANA and/or S/4HANA as a Client to MDG (experience with customer extensions a plus).
  • Experience of projects in which you acted in a leadership role for end-to-end delivery of data quality improvements, i.e. from initial discovery of issues, providing assessments for remediation, scoping, proposal presentation, to final implementation delivery.
  • Experience with S/4 HANA, ECC.
  • Technical expertise in Basis, NetWeaver, Dual-Stack, etc.
  • Familiarity with SAP platforms like BTP, SAP HANA features & functions around data masking & privacy.
  • Familiarity with SAP Database products – SAP HANA, SAP ASE, SAP IQ
  • Experience with the content in the SAP Data Volume Management Guide.
  • Experience with executing SQL via DBACOCKPIT.
  • Experience with SolMan DVM setup and execution.
  • Excellent management skills with strong customer-facing experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills in English, with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of customers and management, both internal and external.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned tasks.
  • Ability to establish solid working relationships with clients.
  • Presentation, communication, and conflict management skills.
  • Perform weekend support and 24x7 support activities as required.

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • SAP Basis Administration and Troubleshooting experience.
  • SAP HANA database management and troubleshooting experience.
  • Experience working with software applications with deep experience in S/4HANA Cloud Environments.
  • At least 2-3 years of work experience as an architect for cloud applications/services and architecture.

Compensation Range Transparency: SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 90,100 - 191,100 USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
