ROLE:
SAP S/4 HANA Supply Chain - Logistics Architect. Must possess configuration level expertise in at least three of the following solution areas: Materials Management, Warehouse management, Batch Management and Serialization, ECC Purchasing (highly interested in PPS backgrounds as well as FAR/DFAR requirements integration), Transportation Management, Production Planning (Discreet), MRP, APO, Quality Management.
Candidate must be able to credibly apply experience and knowledge to guide an expert level customer base from deeply embedded ECC systems to either on-premise or Cloud based S/4 environments. Candidate is expected to lead project SCM team(s) through extensive S/4 delta discovery analysis using current SAP Activate principles and methodology, summarize the S/4 optimized to-be processes and configuration and manage the build and testing of the to-be design. Candidate should also be able to articulate needs and requirements for automated master data cleansing /tuning/ optimization based on as-is and to-be analysis.
Experience differentiators (not requirements) include a background in Aerospace and Defense ECC implementations, Grouping/Pegging/Distribution (GPD) expertise, Transfer/Borrow/Loan, BOM-MDG with respect to Engineering Systems experience, and Product Lifecycle Management. Background work with engineering drawing management platforms like Windchill and Teamcenter is beneficial.
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS:
- Expert level knowledge of SAP S/4 HANA and associated skill maintenance through on-going training and project work. Education of customer on relevant S/4 processes and functionality.
- Understand and support Supply Chain processes in the areas of Logistics, Sales & Distribution, Warehouse Operations & Inventory Management, Asset Management and Trade Compliance
- Define business requirements, lead the design and implementation process, test application capabilities and run demos & workshops for the business.
- Proactively work with the end-user community to improve business processes and procedures and solution designing.
- Full suite SCM configuration and design guidance based on knowledge and application of general S/4 SCM concepts– Logistics expertise, business processes, best practices, and associated configuration knowledge to support the implementation.
- Works closely with the development team (internal and external) to assure a timely solution according to the specifications and implementation of business needs
- Management of all phases of Testing: overall design, script development, execution management, issue resolution, customer acceptance.
- Support go live and post go live efforts.
- Must be able to travel 0 - 100% depending on project
WORK EXPERIENCE:
- Strong reference of SCM architecture leadership experience from at least one large scale SAP ECC to S/4 implementation.
- Deep understanding of industry specific business processes for the Aerospace and Defense Industry is preferred.
- Active U.S. Clearance preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in requirements gathering, documentation and development.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills

Compensation Range Transparency: SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 146,000 - 326,100 USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
