What you’ll do

Within the Board Area People and Operations (P&O) the Program Manager for P&O Strategy will drive the evolution of our P&O Strategy in one of the priority areas EMPOWER our people to thrive in the future of work, ACCELERATE the cloud transformation or INNOVATE business through technology. You will advise the P&O Executive Board member and executives on key strategic decisions. As individual contributor in a small but highly dynamic team, you will shape SAP's strategy and incubate new ideas to fuel our growth. Close alignment with the responsible P&O Senior Management and the Corporate Strategy team is essential to be successful in this role. Main responsibilities:

  • Drive all aspects of problem solving and strategy formulation including: identifying issues, forming hypotheses, designing and conducting analyses, synthesizing conclusions in strategic initiatives and thought leadership
  • Act as trusted strategic advisor and strategy evangelist to P&O senior leaders, scaling impact and generating insights through strategic communities of thought (internally and externally)

 

What you bring   

  • Significant experience in either one of the following areas: Human Resources, Internal IT or Operations (COO function)
  • Experience with cloud transformations is a plus
  • Strong ability to undertake sophisticated analyses and formulate strategic recommendations
  • Effective written, verbal, presentation and interpersonal skills at executive to project team levels
  • Masters degree or equivalent ideally in (Computer) Science, Engineering or Business Administration
  • 5+ years professional work experience
  • Track record in driving high-impact data-driven initiatives on C-level
  • Experience in management consulting, preferably in a strategy consulting firm or in-house consulting in relevant industries, and/or strategic product management, is a plus
  • Deep understanding of how large corporations operate internally and how to create impact
  • Excellent knowledge of English required, knowledge of German is a plus
  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic with the ability to work with speed and accuracy

The mission of the new Board Area is to lead the transformation into tomorrow’s SAP, paving the way to a sustainable Intelligent Enterprise by unleashing the combined power of our people, processes, and technology. 

Within P&O the COO Strategy Team drives strategy evolution across all P&O L1 units, coordinates the cross-Board Area COO steering, owns the execution of strategic programs within P&O and across all Board Areas and standardizes, governs, and promotes Process Excellence globally for our internal and our external customers powered by Signavio.
