What you’ll do:

Position title: SAP iXp Intern - Developer

Location: Hybrid - Newtown Square 

Expected start date: November 2024

Duration: 6 -12 months

Working hours: part time  20hrs./week 

As a Development Intern, you will have the unique opportunity to immerse yourself in our fast-paced environment and play a crucial role in our development projects. You will be working closely with our experienced developers, gaining hands-on experience and contributing to real-world projects. This internship is an excellent stepping stone for those looking to enhance their skills and launch a successful career in software development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the development team to design, develop, and maintain web applications using React, Fiori, TypeScript, JavaScript, and Node.js.
• Assist in writing clean, efficient, and scalable code following best practices.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues to improve application performance and user experience.
• Work with RESTful APIs and integrate third-party services.
• Learn and contribute to DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and containerization with Docker.
• Participate in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and contribute ideas to improve processes and deliverables.

What you bring:

We’re looking for someone who takes initiative, perseveres, and stays curious. You like to work on meaningful innovative projects and are energized by lifelong learning.

• Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master’s degree program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Solid understanding of front-end technologies: React, Fiori, TypeScript, JavaScript
• Familiarity with back-end development using Node.js
• Basic understanding of version control systems like Git
• A passion for learning new technologies and staying current with industry trends
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities

Compensation Range Transparency: SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 15-62 USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
