Summary

 

An SAP Incident Response Strategist is a crucial front-line defender and leader of SAP’s digital enterprise. Our Incident Response team is responsible for triaging critical security events detected by security monitoring operations, analyzing all available data to determine if a cyber-attack is occurring, scoping the extent of a suspected attack, coordinating efforts to contain attacks, and conducting forensic investigation to determine the details around the attack. As a strategist, you will help ensure the IR team is properly equipped to be successful defending SAP.

 

The Role

 

As an Incident Response Strategist, you will help design and build SAP’s global detection and response capabilities. As a part of the IR team, you will partner with analysts, investigators, and managers to identify opportunities for systemic improvement in tooling or processes. You will own key objectives and work with our partners in security architecture, vulnerability management, Lines of Business, IT, Cloud Operations, Cyber Threat Intelligence, and external vendors to design and deliver solutions to our most pressing challenges. You have incident response experience – ideally at an enterprise – and understand the types of tools, capabilities, and partnerships required for enterprise monitoring and IR.

 

You will have excellent planning skills and are able to effectively communicate complex ideas regardless of audience. You have cloud experience in at least one hypervisor and knowledge of security monitoring in a multi-tenant and multi-cloud environment. Bonus points if you have experience with enterprise acquisition integration and security operations in a federated environment. You are able to work in a global and environment across multiple time zones. Additionally, you will mentor and coach junior Incident Response analysts and investigators. 

 

Role Requirements 

 

You should have demonstrated experience in leading cyber-attack investigations and of working in a similar 24/7 environments managing cases with enterprise SIEM or Incident Management systems. Previous experience of leading multi-functional teams is also required.

 

We are looking for analytical, critical thinking, solution orientated problem solvers. You should be quick to learn and adapt and operate in a large dynamic environment.

 

You will also need to have the following technical skills and experience:

  • 4-6 years of experience working in a 24/7 operational environment (Cyber Intelligence Fusion Center, SOC, NOC, Operations Center)
  • Knowledge of TTP methods and frameworks
  • Previous system, dev[sec]ops, or network administration experience
  • Strong core networking skills
  • Advanced Splunk Search Processing Language (SPL) skills
  • Security monitoring and response experience in AWS, Azure, GCP, or Alibaba
  • Scripting or software development abilities and experience with security automation
  • Experience managing cases with enterprise SIEM or Incident Management systems

 

Location

 

  • Newtown Square, PA or Bellevue, WA are our Cyber Fusion Center locations, however we are open to Fully Remote for the right candidate.
