The Senior Program Manager for BTP Core Security is responsible for driving highly technical SAP security initiatives that require multiple layers of complex internal and external cross-functional coordination. This role will partner closely with product management, product engineering, architecture, and security leaders across the business specifically to address high impact, strategic SAP security programs as well as internal initiatives that help drive operational efficiency and/or infrastructure improvements.

This position requires a strong background in project and/or program management, analytical and problem-solving skills (with proven success in launching global products), providing field enablement and working with both internal and external customers. The scope of the role includes carrying a portfolio of several medium-to-large programs specific to BTP Core Security that require coordination across multiple product organizations and agile teams.

Success is defined by the on-time delivery of strategic SAP security initiatives across all related teams, preparedness of cross-functional teams, the on-time launch of products and services and the satisfaction of internal and external clients.  

  • Coordinate and track security program deliverables across all responsible agile teams regardless of product.
  • Define and manage security program and project activities, including, but not limited to, scope and priority setting, building business requirements, project plans, identifying interdependencies, risk mitigation, issue tracking, quality management, resourcing, budgeting, training and communication planning.
  • Understanding the cross-functional implications of product on the customer experience and overall satisfaction.
  • Driving to completion any dependent deliverables within BTP Core and/or with cross-functional teams.
  • Build and monitor program metrics and KPI’s while providing regular updates to leadership.
  • Map out and document processes, highlighting improvement opportunities.
  • Provide regular and timely communication of program status and progress towards goals.
  • Build and maintain partnerships with internal and external customers and partners.
  • Design and lead training and adoption planning activities.
  • Build and lead effective change management and communication strategies. 
  • Adhere to PMO process using consistent program management processes and framework.
  • May include up to 25% travel – domestic and international.
  • Be aware of, and comply with, all corporate policies.

Education, Experience & Training required:

  • 15+ years of program management experience with increasing amount of responsibility.
  • 10+ years SaaS and/or SAP experience with strong background in technology, cross-functional coordination and agile methodologies.
  • Bachelor’s degree required. Technology, Development and/or Project Management emphasis desired.
  • Deep understanding and/or certification in agile methodologies
  • Formal PMO experience using standard PMO tools and processes.
  • Ability to pass a background check.

  • Experience with key tools: Microsoft Suite of applications, Smartsheet, Atlassian products (JIRA, Confluence, etc.), and internal SAP applications.
