Job Title: Senior Support Engineer


Location:  Newtown Square, PA to various client sites nationwide


Purpose and Objective: 

SAP America, Inc. seeks a Senior Support Engineer at our Newtown Square, PA location and various clients nationwide to design and implement customer process model and execute discovery workshop, application architecture.


Expectations and Tasks:


Implement, test, train applications and processes. Optimized business processes. Responsible for integration topics like user integration, system integration and process integration. Ensure data consistency, performance and exception management. Define technical architecture, landscape and underlying infrastructure. Provide detailed architecture blueprint as basis for the other work streams (like General Basis Support). Provide general basis support for application Lifecycle Management for Setup of the project and production landscape, Setup the software logistics, provided user access and introduced security aspects. Setup the migration landscape and migration tools, implement rules for mapping and technical, rule-based data quality measures. Define the customer target operational model, designed and implemented application lifecycle management, integrated new business solutions or technical components into operation - Setup or optimize operation control center. 30% travel required to various client sites nationwide.


Education and Qualifications/Skills and Competencies:


Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Information Systems or related field of study and 5 years of experience required. The company will also accept a Master's degree and 3 years of experience.


Work Experience:


Experience must involve 3 years in the following: SAP Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC), SAP Financial Accounting (FI)—General Ledger (GL), Business Consolidation System (BCS), Business Warehouse Integrated Planning (BW-IP) for comprehensive solution support operations; Utilize SAP BPC consolidation methodologies, currency conversion, account transformation, restatements, validations, business process flows, Multidimensional Expressions (MDX) query language dimension rule formulas, and intercompany matching and eliminations; Analyze SAP Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC) solution design specifications, including BPC Appset structure and dimension design; Analyze security design configurations to build complex input schedules, logic scripts, BPC business application programming interface (BAPi) customizations, Everest Data Range Exchange (EVDRE) reports, and enterprise performance management (EPM) reports in BPC; Perform complex SAP Business Warehouse (BW) extraction, and BW loading, as well as build BW cubes, data store object (DSO), multi-providers, and Business Explorer (BEx) reports in the SAP BW platform; Contribute to critical BW global escalation situations and long-term engagements for MaxAttention and Active Embedded customers; Utilize SAP Advanced Business Application Programming (ABAP) languages within the SAP NetWeaver solution development environment for detailed solution support analysis; Conduct complex root cause analysis and troubleshoot reported platform system issues on an ongoing basis; Resolve multi-tiered system performance issues, data consistency problems, and perform detailed system availability analysis of various SAP solutions; Analyze system landscape requirements and technical issues, assess core business processes, and evaluate system and application operation status, Support critical global escalation resolution as well as short-term solution support engagements for customers, Lead de-escalation activities and play a key role in war room engagements to deliver consistent solution support services for customers; Analyze customers’ system landscape requirements and evaluate system metrics to help customers establish a scalable and high-performing system that operates efficiently with high levels of user satisfaction; and Assess core business process to identify various areas of improvement and enable customers to better optimize the ongoing business processes for their respective business structures.  30% travel required to various client sites nationwide.
