What you’ll do


As a Senior Tax Specialist, you will support the daily operations of the tax compliance process and apply your accounting and tax knowledge, in practice. You will be able to build your tax profession as it offers many development opportunities on other skills and competencies that will help shape your future career path.




  • Prepare and review federal, state, and international tax returns, including forms 1120/1118/5471/5472/8858
  • Prepare tax calculation under International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) for quarter-end and year-end close
  • Support federal and state income tax audits
  • Respond to state income tax notices
  • Contact state and local taxing authorities to gather information related to notices
  • Handle requests related to withholding tax topics, including updating W-8BEN-Es and reviewing monthly withholding tax on intercompany payments
  • Track US tax law changes and understand the impact to SAP
  • Support special projects as needed


What you bring



  • B.S. in Accounting, Finance, or related business field
  • Solid working knowledge of US federal, state, and international tax laws and regulations
  • 3-5 years of experience in U.S. tax compliance/tax provision in medium to large corporation or Public Accounting firm
  • CPA or MST preferred
  • Proficient in MS Excel, CCH, and BNA research tools
  • Working knowledge of OneSource or other tax software



  • Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  • Competent in finance and accounting
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, team environment

Compensation Range Transparency: SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 82,300 - 185,400 USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
