The main task of a COE Architect is to understand the new business models and translate these models into solutions according to the implementation plans, deployment plans, and timelines. They maximize the use of SAP Best Practices derived from best-run businesses in specific industries and geographies and maintained as Model Companies for accelerated deployment. They enable and drive fast innovation consumption based on industry model solutions and agile implementation methods leveraging the SAP HANA Cloud platform.

COE Architect is responsible for the definition of the overall technical or application solution. Therefore, deep technical or application architecture skills are required. CoE Architect drives the architecture discussion with customers across all workstreams of the project and aligns the technical or application aspects with other projects in the program. The candidate also brings technical or application expert knowledge into the project. In co-operation with CoE Focus TQM, the CoE Engineer answers difficult functional or technical questions and executes concrete tasks. As an Expert, the CoE Engineer takes full responsibility for the quality of the delivered tasks and is accountable for the success.


COE Architect has the following mandatory technical skills:

  • Understanding of key functional processes in SAP BPC, SAP FI – GL, BCS, BW-IP.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience of SAP BPC Consolidations, Currency Conversion, Account Transformations, Restatements, Validations, Business Process Flows, MDX Dimension Rule formulas, and Intercompany Matching and Eliminations
  • Deep understanding of BPC Application design, including BPC Appset structure and dimension design, security design
  • Experience  in building complex Input Schedule, Logic script, BPC BADi customization, EVDRE Report, and EPM Report in BPC
  • Experience in BW Extraction, BW loading, building BW cubes, DSO, Multi-providers, building BEx reports

Expert in ABAP programming language within the SAP NetWeaver product area. Ability to conduct root cause analysis and troubleshoot complex technical issues. Solving performance problems, data consistency issues, and availability analysis of complex SAP solutions at our premium customer base.

  • Performs root cause analysis and delivers services in very complex environments for the top customer segments. Lead de-escalation activities onsite at critical customers as a De-escalation Architect, and plays a key role in war room engagements, and delivers onsite services as Team Lead for critical customers.
  • Analysis of system landscape and technical issues; assessment of core business processes and analysis of system and application operation
  • Internal tasks include mentoring junior members of the team, and support activities in the Mission Critical BackOffice
  • As part of a global teamwork closely with SAP Development and the Global Support Centers to assist our customers and find appropriate solutions. Work with cutting edge technologies within the SAP Business Suite and NetWeaver software solutions.


  • At least 10 years of functional and technology experience in SAP environment
  • Ability to effectively resolve/drive resolution of most complex problems that require the creation of new and innovative approaches.
  • Ability to manage complex customer situations.
  • Programming experience skills in at least one programming language (e.g. ABAP, JAVA, C++)
  • ABAP Gold Certification
  • S/4 HANA Training/Certification
  • Industry experience (Generic and industry-related process skills)
  • Strong communication skills with Senior Management in large companies
  • Experience as an AGS Onsite Service Team Lead, De-Escalation Architect of customer escalations, or as a project manager for implementation projects
  • Mentoring experience of highly qualified and experienced support employees
  • Excellent communication skills in English


Bachelor/Master/PhD in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or similar
