PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

The Global Center of Expertise (CoE) is a division of SAP's Intelligent Delivery Group (IDG) delivery unit in the Customer Success board area. Our mission is to deliver world-class engineering services to strategically support SAP’s premium-level customers. CoE Support Engineers provide a meticulous service to SAP’s largest customers operating on the most complex SAP landscapes. They interact with individuals at every level of the customer’s organization, from subject matter experts to executives, in order to meet the customer’s needs.

The CoE Support Engineer is a demanding role that requires passionate individuals with the strongest technical expertise and excellent analytical and communication skills. In this role, you will be tasked with planning, architecting, analyzing, optimizing, prototyping, and safeguarding our customers’ SAP solutions. You will provide essential services and mission critical support to help SAP customers realize their digital transformation agenda and ensure business continuity during solution implementations. You will also oversee the smooth operation of SAP software and the optimal technical performance of all business processes.

 

In the Global Center of Expertise, you will have the opportunity to work on the cutting-edge of digital innovation including the latest technologies like SAP Business Technology Platform, Cloud Foundry, Machine Learning, Big Data, Conversational AI, Blockchain, and Intelligent Robotic Process Automation etc.,

 

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS:

Since you will be working directly with some of our largest SAP Business Technology Platform & S/4HANA customers based out of Americas, We are looking for candidates with:

 

1. Strong application development experience in SAP Business Technology Platform(Cloud Foundry, Kyma) with excellent working knowledge on following:

  - Cloud Application Programming Model(CAP), RESTful ABAP Programming Model (RAP)                   

                - Security: Authorization & Trust Management, Identity Authentication & Provisioning               

                - Dev Ops: Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery

                - Integration & Orchestration: Connectivity, Cloud Integration, API Management, Workflow, Business Rules

2. Ability to understand, design and develop cloud native or extension apps (such as extending S4HANA on-prem & cloud, SAP cloud solutions, etc)

3. Draw on your deep knowledge in SAP Business Technology Platform to support customers in both reactive and proactive mode in resolving technical issues, reviewing custom solutions/apps built by customers, providing recommendations and best practices, handling escalations etc.,

4. Openness towards new emerging technologies with a 'Can Do' attitude

5. Development experience working with ABAP, S/4HANA know-how are a plus.

6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

 

WORK EXPERIENCE

•             More than 3 years of development experience & preferably around 2 years in SAP Business Technology platform (Cloud Foundry).

•             Strong development experience in Java, Node.js, SAP HANA Cloud, SAP UI5.

•             Optional: ABAP development experience in SAP ERP or S/4HANA.

 

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATION / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

•             Graduated with a Bachelor Degree or above in IT/ Computer Science/ Physics/Mathematics/Engineering or related discipline

•             Excellent customer focus, teamwork and adaptability

•             Fluency written and spoken English
