Purpose and Objective: 

 

SAP America Inc. seeks a Support Engineer at our Newtown Square, PA location responsible for Application Process Design and Implementation.

 

Expectations and Tasks:

 

Define customer process model and execute discovery workshop. Design and implement application architecture. Implement, test, train applications and processes. Optimize business processes. Take care of the integration topics like user integration, system integration and process integration. Ensure data consistency, performance and exception management. Define technical architecture, landscape and underlying infrastructure. Provide a detailed architecture blueprint as basis for the other work streams (like General Basis Support). Application Lifecycle Management. Setup the project and production landscape. Setup the software logistics, provide user access and introduce security aspects. Setup the migration landscape and migration tools. Implement rules for mapping and technical, rule-based data quality measures. Define the customer target operational model. Design and implement application lifecycle management. Integrate new business solutions or technical components into operation. Setup or optimize operation control center. Manage System Landscape Optimization (Landscape Transformation Management, SAP LT based projects, SAP General Ledger Migration). Participate in internal projects driven by internal requirements. Train and coach other CoE Engineers. 30% travel required.

 

Education and Qualifications/Skills and Competencies:

 

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field of study and 3 years of experience required. The company will also accept a Master's degree and 2 years of experience.

 

Work Experience:

 

Experience must involve 2 years in the following: SAP HANA, SAP Workload Analysis (BASIS); Technical Writing; Business Strategies & Operation Management; SAP system analysis and performance optimization; Landscape transformation, legal entities creation and deletion; Supporting the services offered from a wide range of SLO teams; Executing the System Landscape Optimization solution & tools; SAP LT topics like Company Code Carve-out/Delete, Conversion of Chart of Accounts, Cost Center, Profit Center, Currencies, Fiscal Year, Local/Parallel Currency Conversion; SAP Integrated Business Planning (SAP IBP); SAP IBP- Demand Planning, Inventory, S&OP, Response & Supply and DDMRP; SAP Cloud Platform Integration for Data Services (CPI-DS); Development of IBP extensions, L-codes; SAP ERP, S/4HANA; ABAP Programming and Performance analysis; Solution Assessment of SAP procurement solutions, identifying risks and issues; Critical customer management and root cause analysis of complex technical issues in SAP solutions; Delivering end-to-end solution assessments for identifying the design matches SAP best practices; Delivering integration validation to ensure solutions meet SAP standards of data consistency and performance; Delivering software using Agile/scrum methodologies. 30% travel required.
