About the SAP Internship Experience Program

What you’ll do:

Position title: SAP Concur iXp Intern – Value Programs Data Developer 
Location: Chicago, IL / Hybrid

Expected start date: March/April 2025 (initial 6 month contract, potential for 12 months total) 

•    Work consultatively with both internal and cross functional teams to gather business requirements, translate those business requirements into a design, write reports or dashboards, QA, and operationalize the production of those assets. 
•    Manage projects efficiently 
•    Ideate, curate and/or build data and benchmarking for customer-facing materials, artifacts, deliverable templates, CoV’s and other key assets required to enable a strong foundation for the Value Pillars and broader distribution teams to be successful 
•    Build repeatable QA processes and technical documentation. 
•    Update project progress and tracking 
•    Utilize industry expertise to create content that will be used in customer / prospect engagements. 
•    Implement thought leadership and bring ideas to the team to support business outcome focused topics that can then be supported with data

Communication skills: 

o    Effective interpersonal and communication (oral & written) skills required. 
o    Capacity to work co-operatively with others to achieve results

o    Ability to scope and gather data requirements with people of varying technical knowledge in a consultative manner. 
 

Time management:
o    Ability to prioritize and to adapt to changing working conditions and assignments 
o    Impeccable attention to detail is required while working quickly under pressure to produce quality, accurate results. 
o    Proactively and efficiently manage multiple tasks 

Tools & technical skills 
o    Functional knowledge of Concur applications. 
o    Demonstrable understanding of the entire SAP Concur data model 
o    Ability to construct efficient queries that can be used across all size customer data sets 
o    Working knowledge of Salesforce, Gainsight, Excel, and PowerPoint  
o    Analysis and troubleshooting skills 
o    System Testing and Product Evaluation Skills 

Education, Experience & Training preferred:  
•    Education: In pursuit of degree in a related field. 
•    Eligibility: Must be currently enrolled, or recently graduated (start date must be within 6 months of graduation date) from a coding academy/bootcamp, apprenticeship, associate, bachelor’s, master’s or JD/PhD program.
•    Strong business acumen around client business challenges, KPIs. 
•    Reporting writing experience, especially in IBM Cognos and/or SAP Business Intelligence; SAP Analytics Cloud and AWS reporting skills a plus.

The Global Value Programs team is part of the larger Value Experience Group.  Value Experience sits under an even larger group of Customer Advisory.  We sit across the world, but the Value Programs team is spread through-out the United States.  The global nature of the Value Programs team is that we work with all Distribution roles and get to interact with many cultures, styles and personalities, while building assets that help them each in their role & responsibilites.  Our team members time with SAP ranges between 6 yrs. – 24 yrs. experience and come from diverse backgrounds.

Compensation Range Transparency: SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 15 - 62 USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
