We are seeking a visionary and experienced Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to lead our marketing efforts and drive brand awareness, customer acquisition, and revenue growth. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of technology marketing and a proven track record of success. This role requires strong leadership skills, a passion for innovation, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, and design.
What You’ll Do
- Strategic Marketing Leadership:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with the company's overall business objectives.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify target audiences, market trends, and competitive landscapes.
- Set marketing KPIs and track performance to measure the effectiveness of marketing initiatives.
- Event Strategy Development:
- Develop comprehensive event strategies that drive brand awareness, customer engagement, and business growth.
- Identify target audiences and tailor event experiences to resonate with their specific needs and interests.
- Oversee a team that conducts market research and competitive analysis to inform strategic decisions.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to plan, coordinate, and manage a diverse range of events, from large-scale conferences to intimate workshops.
- Implement effective post-event follow-up strategies to nurture leads and build long-term relationships.
- Utilize event data to identify and qualify high-quality leads for sales and marketing teams.
- Brand Management:
- Build and maintain a strong brand identity and positioning.
- Oversee brand messaging, storytelling, and visual identity.
- Manage brand reputation and crisis communications.
- Demand Generation:
- Develop and implement effective demand generation strategies, including content marketing, email marketing, social media marketing, and paid advertising.
- Collaborate with sales teams to generate qualified leads and drive pipeline growth.
- Product Marketing:
- Work closely with product and engineering teams to launch new products and features.
- Develop compelling product messaging and positioning.
- Create high-quality product marketing materials, such as datasheets, whitepapers, and presentations.
- Customer Marketing:
- Build strong relationships with customers and foster customer loyalty.
- Implement customer success programs and customer advocacy initiatives.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor a high-performing marketing team.
- Recruit, hire, and develop top marketing talent.
- Foster a culture of innovation and creativity within the marketing team.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with product, engineering, and design teams to align marketing efforts with product development and customer needs.
- Collaborate with sales and customer success teams to ensure seamless customer experiences.
Your Qualifications

- Proven track record of success in technology marketing leadership roles.
- Deep understanding of digital marketing channels and tactics.
- Strong analytical skills and data-driven decision-making abilities.
- Experience with Human Capital Solutions preferred.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to lead and inspire teams.
- Strong understanding of technology trends and industry developments.
- A passion for innovation and a desire to push the boundaries of marketing.
- Experience in B2B and B2C marketing.
- MBA or equivalent degree preferred.

Compensation Range Transparency: SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 370400 - 629700(USD) USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
