What You Will Build

 

Join our SAP Cloud Identity Access Governance team and work on the Risk Analysis platform—a sophisticated enterprise application enabling access risk management, compliance monitoring, and audit capabilities. This role blends traditional enterprise development with modern AI-assisted coding practices. You will:

  • Develop and maintain Java REST APIs for risk analysis and compliance monitoring.
  • Build SAPUI5/Fiori applications for dashboards, reporting, and data visualization.
  • Design scalable microservices and implement multi-tenant SaaS architecture on SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) using Cloud Foundry and SAP Kyma (Kubernetes).
  • Utilize AI coding assistants (Cline, Copilot, etc.) for code generation, refactoring, and documentation.
  • Manage CI/CD pipelines, deployments, and containerized environments.
  • Ensure quality through unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
  • Tech Stack Highlights:
    Java 17, Spring Boot, PostgreSQL, OData, JAX-RS, SAPUI5/OpenUI5, SAP Fiori, SAP BTP, Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, GitHub Enterprise, AI-assisted development tools.\

 

What You Bring 

 

  • Strong backend skills: Java (8+, ideally 17), Spring Boot, RESTful APIs.
  • Frontend experience: JavaScript/ES6+, SAPUI5/OpenUI5 or similar frameworks.
  • Cloud expertise: SAP BTP or other platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Database knowledge: SQL, PostgreSQL.
  • Version control: Git proficiency.
  • AI-assisted development experience: Familiarity with tools like Cline, Copilot, or similar; ability to validate and refine AI-generated code.
  • Professional skills: Problem-solving, collaboration, clear communication, and attention to detail.
  • Bonus Points For: Full-stack experience with SAP Fiori Elements and design guidelines.
  • Multi-tenant SaaS architecture knowledge.GRC domain expertise (Governance, Risk, Compliance).
  • DevOps and CI/CD pipeline experience.

Built on SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) and tightly integrated with SAP Identity Authentication Service (IAS) and SAP Identity Provisioning (IDP), IAG delivers five key services: Access Analysis, Access Certification, Access Request, Privileged Access Management, and Role Design. You’ll be part of a global engineering team with colleagues in the Czech Republic, Germany, and the U.S.—and for this position, you’ll join our team in Palo Alto, CA, contributing to innovative solutions that safeguard enterprise systems worldwide.

Compensation Range Transparency: SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 128600 - 218600(USD) USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
