The SAP Sales Cloud Engineering team (https://cx.sap.com/en/products/sales) is committed to deliver best-in-class and leading-edge Cloud based CRM solutions designed to meet line-of-business needs. We provide appealing products combining software, configuration, and customizing tools with a rich user experience, integrating emerging trends such as the use of Social Media and mobile devices for interaction with consumers. The team is working in a Scrum-based agile mode designing, implementing, and releasing products as part of our Customer Experience offerings.

We are looking for experienced developers with excellent technical skills and an aptitude for translating business requirements into technical solutions. 

 

 

ROLE DESCRIPTION:

 

Responsible for development focusing on design, coding, testing, quality assurance of complex product features in a development team. Resolves complex issues within own area of expertise and supports others in resolving issues.

Shows initiative and drives topics to resolution in a high level of quality, speed, reliability and efficiency. Works closely together with others and shares expertise to ensure product success.

Constantly improves own work methods to gain state-of-the-art agile software engineering skills. Enhances skills beyond own core functional focus and works on other tasks for the benefit of the team.

Has advanced overall product and technical knowledge and shares expertise within and across team and organization. Has advanced knowledge of development processes and product standards. We welcome applications from candidates satisfying the below requirements.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Thorough understanding and experience working on microservice architecture.
  • Experience in implementing microservices using either Java (Spring Boot experience is preferred), JavaScript or C# with thorough knowledge of building APIs using HTTP 1.1, gRPC/HTTP2.
  • Experience building event driven microservices would be highly preferred.
  • Experience with JavaScript based UI technologies like Angular and/or React.
  • Knowledge of web component standards would be highly desired
  • Working knowledge with persistent stores like MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Redis and ability to write performant code to interact with these stores
  • Good understanding of containerization (e.g. docker), scaling of services using Kubernetes, Istio and similar services
  • Expertise in building code while ensuring highest quality through test driven development, integration tests, code coverage
  • Working knowledge with public clouds like AWS, GCP or Azure and familiarity of DevOps (CI/CD) tools and process such as Jenkins, Spinnaker, and similar tools
  • Ability to troubleshoot through the full stack on the cloud
  • Experience in building and deploying functions in the cloud would be an added advantage
  • Working in a fast-paced team environment with ability to delivery feature end-to-end
  • Is a proven learner and willing to learn, experiment and adopt new technologies

 

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1+ years of master’s degree or 2+ years of post BS degree software development experience
  • Must be able to work onsite in Palo Alto, CA, local candidates preferred
