As a Expert DevOps Engineer in Ariba’s Cloud Engineering Services team you will be at the heart of the engineering process building infrastructure & automation that will touch almost every aspect of the SAP Ariba products. You will get an opportunity to work with a high energy team employing some industry best devops practices. You will also get the opportunity to transition Ariba platform to public cloud with a scope on multiple cloud vendors (GCP, AWS, Azure). ROLE & EXPECTATIONS

• DevOps Engineers work closely with other engineers and SREs to build automation for engineering products and also build infrastructure as code.
• You'll work across shared service departments, lines of businesses and global teams to deliver high quality services and ensure business goals are met.
• The role will focus on breaking down complex problems into tactical actions and implement engineering innovations.
• This role requires extensive cross-group coordination across levels, excellent communication skills, that span across various horizontal functions.
• You will be responsible for developing solutions, implementing requirements, creating key processes, procedures, that facilitate automation and execution.
• You're equally at home explaining complex recommendations to Engineering and Operation teams. You are highly resourceful, analytical, have a combination of focus, flexibility, self-motivation, integrity, willingness to put the team and company’s interest above all else.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

• Automate operational processes as needed, with accuracy and in compliance with security requirements
• Have a good understanding of public cloud systems like GCP, Azure, and/or AWS Cloud Services, Network Infrastructure, Security Capabilities, Storage Solutions, Database Services/Tooling and Identity & Access.
• Experience with any of the configuration management tools like Ansible, Salt or Chef is desirable.
• Scripting skills in Python, Perl, Bash, Shell or another common language
• Good knowledge of Unix/Linux environments.
• Should have knowledge on Source Control tools like GIT & P4.
• Good to have understanding of virtualization and global infrastructure, load balancing, networking, security and operations
• Team-first outlook including building great working relationships with peers across functions
• Experience in implementing scalable cloud-based solution architectures
• 9+ years of experience on highly reliable & scalable systems
• BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering related field or equivalent practical experience
