Position Overview:

Be a part of a stellar team that will build the next generation business commerce applications. You will collaborate with designers, product managers, and other engineers to expand the Ariba Cloud to cover every corner of the globe. As an Ariba engineer you will be be empowered to build world-class products with following at your disposal:

As a  Mobile App Developer you will:

  • Deliver across the entire app life cycle –concept, design, build, deploy, test, release to app stores and support
  • Work directly with developers, designers, and product managers to conceptualize, build, test and realize products
  • Create compelling device specific user interfaces and experiences
  • Understand requirements around functionality and translate those requirements into elegant functional solutions
  • Build features with the best quality and extensibility
  • Optimize performance for the apps
  • Keep up to date on the latest industry trends in the mobile technologies
  • Explain technologies and solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's in computer science or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years of development experience developing iOS production grade software
  • Excellent knowledge in information architecture, human computer interaction and usability design principles
  • Experience in consuming RESTful APIs from mobile app development
  • Ability to multitask and good time management skills
  • Ability to work on their own and as a part of the team
  • Published examples of mobile applications on the App store is a plus

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong OO design and programming skills in Swift
  • Familiar with iOS SDK (UI Kit, Cocoa Touch, Core Data, Core Location, etc)
  • Familiar with Xcode
  • Experience building native apps  
  • Experience integrating with RESTful API backends
  • Good understanding of OO programming and design patterns Good understanding of HTML5, Style sheet, JavaScript, jQuery, Ajax and database queries
  • Using version control (e.g. Git)
  • Excellent debugging and optimization skills
