Senior Director, Product Management – AI
We are looking for a Senior Director of Product Management – AI to
- ensure that BDC powers SAP Business AI with clean, complete, contextual, and consumable Data in the form of Data Products
- drive the end-to-end AI strategy, roadmap and infusion of SAP Business AI-powered business components into all BDC capabilities
SAP BDC has identified 22 key capabilities including data ingestion, transformation, activation of data products, etc. to serve our Suite First and AI first missions. As the Head of PM for BDC AI Technology, you will collaborate closely with product management, engineering, UX, and other business leaders to define, deliver and ensure adoption of AI capabilities across BDC, including capabilities such as Joule for BDC, the Knowldege Graph, Customer Data Hub, and adoption of foundation models. You will act as the single point of contact within BDC PM team for all initiatives related to AI and be the Liaison with the SAP Business AI team, ensuring seamless alignment across core AI capabilities, architecture, and business roadmaps.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop Scalable AI Capabilities – Work with both SAP Business AI and BDC teams to identify and prioritize the delivery of data products that will empower SAP Business AI, seamlessly integrating with critical business components to maximize efficiency and impact.
- AI Roadmap to serve Data and AI teams – Ensure AI technologies are effectively leveraged across the BDC organization while also serving as a foundational resource for various teams and initiatives
- Partner with Engineering and Product Teams – Collaborate with product managers, UX, and engineering leadership to set priorities within semester plans, ensuring clear execution paths and successful delivery.
- Provide Strategic Leadership Between SAP AI and BDC – Act as the principal leader driving collaboration, alignment, and execution between SAP AI and BDC. This role ensures that AI initiatives are strategically integrated into BDC features and persona journeys (JTBDs), accelerating innovation, and optimizing productivity and data-driven decision-making for our customers.
- Anticipate and Shape the Future of AI for BDC– Maintain deep expertise in emerging AI capabilities, architectures, and industry trends to proactively identify opportunities for innovation. Work within BDC and with the SAP Business AI team to drive the seamless integration of cutting-edge AI technologies, ensuring BDC remains at the forefront of AI-driven transformation and business evolution.
Qualifications
- 15+ years of product management or related experience with at least 10 years in AI, data platforms, or enterprise software.
- Proven track record in leading AI-driven product roadmaps and working cross-functionally with engineering, data science, and business teams
- Proven success in deploying B2B AI technologies within business process applications at enterprise scale is mandatory
- Strong understanding of data solutions, AI architectures, knowledge graphs, and enterprise AI integrations.
- Experience working with enterprise data integration, semantic catalogs, data quality, governance, data warehousing, and analytics platforms is strongly desired
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, especially when acting as a single POC for AI initiatives.

Compensation Range Transparency
SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 358300 - 609200(USD) USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
