At SAP, within the Ariba Sourcing team, we are inventing the future for enterprise sourcing software.  In this role, you will dig into complex business problems, challenge the status quo, and bias towards using data to improve the product.  We are looking for people who naturally and passionately think strategically to create a product vision.  In order to be successful, you must be able to influence without direct authority, and enjoy the process of bringing solutions to life.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology.
  • Deep understanding of the Source2Contract process.
  • Experience overseeing roadmap strategy and definition.
  • Experience with end-to-end product delivery / lifecycle.
  • Experience in making product / feature tradeoffs based on things like business goals, customer value, strategy, etc.
  • Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product.
  • Track record of producing high-quality deliverables that meet high standards of quality, UX, customer value, etc. 
  • Strong team-orientation with proven track record of taking ownership and delivering results.
  • Strong organization skills.
  • Strong data analysis skills.
  • Strong self-motivation, must take initiative.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA and/or advanced technical degree.
  • Experience designing user interfaces.
  • Experience with the latest user-research methodologies for uncovering market and product opportunities.
  • Experience in technology development best practices (such as Agile / Lean Product Development).
  • Experience translating business goals into a product strategy.
  • Experience with contract management, sourcing, supply management, online sourcing, Sourcing, Contracts, SAP Hana, SAP ECC, or online procurement solutions a definite plus.
