SAP Ariba Platform team is looking for developers who will work on the best-in-class cloud-based Business to Business e-commerce microservices deployed to the public cloud. As a developer, you will be responsible for end-to-end feature development, test automation and CI/CD packaging and deployment.  The primary areas of technology this team works on are Java, Web, REST, Microservices, Angular, Spring Boot, GitHub, Jenkins, and Docker.

How you Might Contribute

As a cloud engineer, you will be working with Architects and other developers to deliver key enhancements and features in the SAP Ariba products in all phases of the development lifecycle.

• Design, coding, testing, quality assurance and deployment of complex product features.
• Work on core components for persistence, and object model framework in the Ariba Cloud Platform.
• Help develop test plans and write automation test cases wherever needed
• Play an integral role in the entire software development lifecycle including participation in design sessions, defining functional requirements, working with development teams and testing

A Successful Candidate Should

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science or related field
• Strong Computer Science foundation (data structures, algorithms, databases, distributed systems)
• Expertise in software development with one or more programming languages (e.g. Golang, Python, Ruby, Java or the like), understanding of the concepts, as well as the willingness to share and grow this knowledge
• Experience with SQL and No SQL Databases
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Microsoft Azure, GCP, AliCloud or SAP Business Technology Platform) and container technologies (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes, Cloud Foundry, or Hashicorp Nomad/Consul/Vault)
• Practice of modern software engineering including agile methodologies, coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, test automation, and CI/CD pipelines
• Proficiency in working with Linux or macOS environments
• Knowledge of moving code from Dev/ Test to Staging and Production. Troubleshoot issues along the CI/CD pipeline.
• Experience in planning, designing and developing cloud-based applications and solving internet scale problems. Work on solving scalability and performance problems

• Experience in framework design and modeling, understand the impact of object model design in a large­scale multi­tenant OnDemand environment
• Ability to design and develop REST APIs
