EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
- The EC Shared Service Center (SSC) APJ Team seeks a flexible, committed associate to support its export control activities.
- The EC SSC APJ Team collaborates closely with other departments and operates at the board level, allowing associates to:
- Learn key operational aspects of our export control mission.
- Expand their professional business horizons.
- As the EC SSC APJ Team has a wide range of responsibilities to manage, an associate will:
- Handle daily business tasks while following German, EU, and U.S. export control laws.
- Implement SAP's export compliance steps, including checking business partners, screening against sanctioned party lists, and classifying business partners.
- Manage requests for material and product classification (ECCN).
- Work closely with key teams like Sales, Finance, Development, and Delivery Units.
- Collaborate with the sub-IT department to address business needs and solve problems.
- Seek ways to improve current processes, policies, guidelines, and documentation, including training and sharing knowledge.
- Help with project management, such as making legal updates and adjusting the Export Compliance Management System (ECMS).
- Support projects by preparing reports, presentations, and statistical analysis.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- Bachelor's degree in business, international business, or a similar field.
- Strong skills in analysis, communication, and writing.
- Attention to quality and a focus on processes.
- Willingness to work in a compliance role to meet company standards.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with different teams and cultures.
- Fluent in Business English.
WORK EXPERIENCE
- Recent graduates or individuals with one or maximum two year of experience in export control, import-export, foreign trade topics, and systems such as SAP ERP, CRM, GTS, and BPS.
