Finance Associate (Mandarin/Chinese Speaker) - Temporary less 6 month fixed salary

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
The Post Sales Center (“PSC”) team in APAC acts as the deal support center for SAP’s Sales team across Asia, Pacific & Japan (“APJ”) and Greater China (“GC”) regions.  Supporting them with deal shaping, deal approval, contract creation and various other activities related to Software licensing.

 

The Team supports and processes transactions with small and medium-sized enterprises as well as large corporations.
 

DAILY TASKS

  • Review deals: Ensure details are complete and correct, and deal complies to SAP policies and guidelines : this may involve collaborating with local market unit colleagues from Sales, Pricing, and Revenue Recognition in order to shape the deal to avoid any revenue deferrals.
  • Contract preparation: Responsible for preparing contract documents from template and adding/drafting language for deal specifics. Order forms, support agreements and amendments are prepared for both new and existing customers and cover different lines of business including on premise software licenses, cloud services, software support, consulting and training.
  • Contract management: Maintain SAP’s contract records and contract related data in SAP’s contract management system
  • Answering queries from internal customers.
  • Validation: Review returned contracts prior to booking for compliance with internal policies and controls. 
  • Assist booking teams to ensure on time processing of customer sales orders into SAP systems.
  • Anticipate issues and use professional judgement to initiate actions to resolve them.
  • Work to deliver tasks within the team’s Service Level Agreement
  • Accommodate quarter-end and year-end deadlines and respond to spikes in workload from the Sales team  
  • Use SAP technology for reporting, monitoring and managing Deals and other transactions end to end.
  • Contribute ideas to drive efficiency and process improvements.
  • Support special projects.

  • Thorough: Make sure nothing slips through the cracks
  • Organized: Multiple transactions need to be managed simultaneously, Deal reviews and contract preparation often require input from others so the ability to keep track and follow up to ensure deals progress is critical.
  • Ability to manage expectations and prioritize: Multiple deals can be categorized as urgent and colleague need to be able to manage expectation and prioritize tasks according to guidelines.
  • Effective communicator: Ability to prepare clear and concise communication, written and oral.
  • Adaptable: SAP is a dynamic, growing company and things change.  
  • Excellent stress management: Ability to work within a high-pressure environment

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Good communication in English 
  • Proficient in Mandarin/Chinese (spoken and written)
  • Minimum Tertiary qualification from University or College
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Law or Economics is an advantage
  • Good command of MS Office (Excel, word and Outlook)

 

WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Preferably 1 year or more experience within bid management, process management, procurement, software licensing, contract administration, business or sales operations
  • Working experience within a shared service center environment (preferred)
  • Experience with SAP systems is a plus
