PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES 

A Global Finance Shared Services Organization was launched in 2009 when all Finance Shared Services were moved under the umbrella of the Global Finance Infrastructure. The Global Finance Shared Services Environment allows SAP to maximize the efficiency and effectiveness as well as quality of the finance processes while delivering global end-to-end process standards. 

The Procure-to-Pay is part of the SAP Global Finance Shared Services and its function is to support vendor master management and compliance, procurement operations, vendor invoice processing and payments. 

 

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS 

Procurement Operations Associate will support the operative and tactical purchasing processes across all commodities and acts as support centre. 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

· Sourcing Event Management 

o Collaboration with stakeholders relevant to the projects 

o End to end handling of Request for Proposals 

o Assessment of Proposals 

o Negotiation with vendors and line of business 

o Contract preparation 

· Savings review and reporting 

· Supplier and user communication and support 

· Selection and management of Suppliers 

· Support of rollout projects 

· Communication with Global Purchasing Organization, Vendor Master and Compliance and Accounting departments 

 

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES 

· Can communicate effectively, fluent written and spoken English and Mandarin is a must

· A strong will to deliver excellent quality. 

· Continuous improvement of technical skills and efficiency 

· Responsive and customer focus with a proactive approach 

· Ability to work in international teams and environment 

· Flexible work style and ability to work under pressure 

· Good command of MS Office (Excel, Word and Outlook) 

· Team player 

· Able to negotiate standard terms and better conditions. 

· Can lead a project and has very good time management 

 

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE 

· Holding a bachelor’s degree 

· 1-2 years working experience in Vendor Sourcing 

· Working experience within a shared service centre is an advantage 

· Knowledge of Ariba, SAP MM, FI module is a plus
