**Office location is Pittsburgh, PA - must be located in or willing to relocate to Pittsburgh for this role

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS 

As an SAP Basis Consultant, you will bring the following expertise and capabilities:

• Execute technology projects including installation, configuration, upgrades, migrations, conversions, greenfield implementations, and system integrations.
• Hands-on experience in upgrades, OS/DB migrations, Cloud migrations, and S/4HANA upgrade/migration projects (experience in implementation and blueprinting is a strong advantage).
• Provide BASIS support for projects involving HANA and S/4HANA.
• Offer architectural guidance for cloud migrations across AWS, GCP, and Azure.
• Design comprehensive security solutions for SAP on-premise and SAP Cloud applications, including two-factor authentication and single sign-on across devices.
• Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve technical issues efficiently.
• Manage multiple tasks effectively while working in a collaborative team environment, staying responsive to project and customer requirements.
• Adapt to fast-paced, evolving environments and meet deadlines effectively.
• Establish strong, credible relationships with peers and clients while continuously enhancing knowledge of SAP products.
• Demonstrate a strong ability to learn quickly and apply new knowledge effectively.

WORK EXPERIENCE

• SAP Basis and Security Authentication: Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in technical planning, installations, upgrades, OS/DB migrations, Unicode conversions, and S/4HANA implementations
• SAP HANA: In-memory platform expertise, Data provisioning technologies (SAP LT, Data Services, DXC, Sybase Replication Server), Scale-out and standalone deployment, administration, and optimization
• Fiori Platform – Configuration and integration experience
• Cloud Migrations: AWS, GCP, Azure
• Strong background in performance tuning, user management, system copies, and Unicode conversions.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

• Bachelors or Master’s degree in: Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science or similar degree.
• 6+ years previous experience working across a range of implementations, upgrades and cloud migration projects
• SAP Certifications in S/4HANA, OS/DB Migration, Hyperscalers and SAP HANA preferred
• Experience of working in large landscapes/environments/customers

Compensation Range Transparency: SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 70900 - 159900 USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
