Purpose and Objective: 

SAP America, Inc. seeks a Senior Technology Consultant at our Pittsburgh, PA location to support the technical workstream and the coordination of technical stakeholders in an engagement.

 

Expectations and Tasks:

Explain complex technical aspects to stakeholders, including non-technical audiences. Support coordination of delivery activities with technology partners. Implementation and coding of services, composites and interfaces as well as coaching of customer or partners in implementation. Leverage the capabilities of the SAP's latest technology platform(s) and reinforce their benefits. Support the transformation towards the Intelligent Enterprise. Implement and support the operation of technical system landscapes. Support setup and connectivity of integrated system landscapes such as on-premise, cloud and hybrid by applying state-of-the-art methodologies. Deliver technology components-specific expert consulting, and system optimization services. Support solution proposals and bid management. Support escalated projects. Support for Presales, Solution Proposals, Bid Management with account team. Take over responsibility as a (sub-) project lead or team lead for a service delivery. Must be able to simultaneously help multiple customers. Support line manager(s) in people development tasks. Plan and conduct customer workshops, design and build enhancements\extensions, create plans for Integration and Unit testing. Create project documentation and documentation of delivered services. Support the evolution of the relevant section of the services portfolio for the respective solution area and key related areas. Act as an owner of a service and/or assist in updating the portfolio. Support in solution testing and issue resolution. Mentor technology consultants.

 

Education and Qualifications/Skills and Competencies:

Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Business or a related field of study and 6 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related occupation. The Company will also accept a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Business or a related field of study and 4 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.

 

Work Experience:

Experience must involve 4 years in the following:

  • Technical integration experience of ECC with SAP CRM(O2C), SD, MM, QM, HCM, and FICO using SAP XI/PI/PO;
  • Developing JAVA, XSLT, ABAP, and GUI mapping programs, analyze existing ABAP and JAVA programs to troubleshoot or enhance integration scenarios;
  • Experience in SOAP, FILE (SFTP) and ABAP Proxy XSLT;
  • EDI interfaces;
  • ORACLE Database; and
  • S/4HANA integration.

 

Travel: Position requires up to 50% domestic travel to various and unanticipated client sites. Telecommuting permitted. Position can be based in any U.S. location.

Compensation Range Transparency: The annual base salary range for this position is $106,434 - $147,560. SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is $106,434 - $173,600. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process.
