The SAP Strategic Logistics Trading Partner Executive (STPE) is a customer-facing role, responsible
for the daily management of selected existing SAP Business Network Trading Partners. The STPE
mission is to secure customer retention focused on the SAP Business Network LOB, providing positive
impacts to transactional revenue, commercial renewals and driving upsell by building strong
relationships with customer’s line of business executives and establishment of proactive success
plans that promote overall customer satisfaction and product adoption
.
We work closely with the assigned Logistics Trading Partners Product team, Onboarding team, Sales
team, Marketing team and the Executive team. Doing so in collaboration with internal Product,
Services, Solution, CSP’s and Marketing teams to ensure Early Adoption, Design Partnering,
References and growth across the SAP Business Network. Drawing upon their CX experience,
knowledge of the customer’s goals, industry insights and trends, an STPE ensures the Logistics
Trading Partner realizes the full value of their SAP Business Network solution, and ultimately their
business transformation journey. This role will be structured by region, and industry where SBN
requires growth and focus on our Logistics Trading Partner footprint.
Trusted Advisor / Account Management:
The STPE focus is to maximize the ROI Trading Partners receive from their investments in SAP
Business Network cloud and to promote revenue growth and renewal protection by:
● Providing tailored guidance to the Logistics Trading Partners on how best to adopt and
atomize their Network footprint to successfully align their strategy with their business
objectives.
● Development and execution of customer success plan agreeing on success metrics, and
promoting Logistics Trading Partners leading practices regarding cadence, objectives, and
partnership.
● Having a holistic view of the Logistics Trading Partners functional projects and priorities to
best leverage support from SAP’s value add offerings.
● Achieve active engagement in SAP-led initiatives such as customer satisfaction surveys,
business transformational stories, Logistics Trading Partners reference program and SAP
events.
● Own /create/ facilitate industry forums providing best practice, associated trends,
commonality's etc.
● Work cross functionally with SAP leadership teams to deliver Trading Partners success,
CSP/TPS/AE/PMS/P&I/Solution
● Establish strong and lasting relationships with Logistics Trading Partners by understanding
their perspective, industry, and business needs.
● Develop compelling communication strategies and materials that effectively articulate the
value proposition of our products or services.
● Provide the Logistics Trading Partner with regular business updates and regular QBR’s to
focus on the strategy and vision
Network Adoption / Revenue Retention & Growth:
In addition to this, STPE also enable their customers’ long-term success by advising them on leading
practices regarding project deployment, change management, governance, and support model
structures. The responsibilities of the role are to ensure that customers are highly engaged,
knowledgeable, and successful in their network adoption and business objectives/goals.
This is demonstrated by:
● Jointly work on a customer roadmap to improve product adoption and maximizing the
perceived value of the Logistics Trading Partner SBN footprint.
● Providing leading practice and advice to the Logistics Trading Partner, leveraging their
knowledge of enabling cloud technology, embedding governance, and managing
sustainable change.
● Development of success measurement with Logistics Trading Partners, provides industry
specific program management to accelerate time to value through data driven metrics,
driving network best practice with prescriptive management.
● Understanding the Logistics Trading Partners business model and priorities to identify
potential risks and expansion opportunities within the existing SBN footprint● Drive high Logistics Trading Partner engagement that result in platform adoption, and a
referenceable long-lasting relationship.
● Leverage and review benchmark success metrics to influence customers for network
adoption, peer vs peer indicators of success.
● Introduce new (and unused) platform innovations and articulate value to motivate
Logistics Trading Partners to deploy and adopt to maximize platform effectiveness,
stickiness, and value realization.
● Lead QBR’s provide the full understanding of SBN value /solution set & how their
business could leverage the full network suite helping to creating sales pipeline, with up
and cross-sell opportunities
Requirements:
• Customer Success, Account Management, Professional Services and/or Project
Management experience, within a cloud environment, min 8 years
• Driving towards Customer change management with a Cloud mindset, min 5 years
• Positioning up and cross sell opportunities into revenue growth opportunities
• Experience and knowledge in a Logistics Cloud landscape, min 8 years
• Strong relationship building skills at an executive level.
• Strong influence with internal and external stake holders, able to move dissatisfied Logistics
Trading Partners towards referenceable Logistics Trading Partners.
• SAP Cloud experience a strong advantage.
• Willing to travel 20% of their time, invest time in face-to-face meetings with Logistics Trading
Partners and represent SAP Business Network on Events, social media, and other
programs.
• Language skills:
o Required: Fluent/Native English
o Advantage if in addition: Spanish is a plus
• Education: Business, eCommerce, Technical and/or Management, Bachelor level or above

Compensation Range Transparency: SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 132,000 - 281,400 (USD) USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
