Purpose and Objective: 

Ariba, Inc. seeks a Technology Consultant at our Pittsburgh, PA location responsible for the detailed planning and execution of SAP IT implementations, including ecommerce integrations and S/4HANA.

 

Expectations and Tasks:

Develop and assess strategies for IT organization and support processes. Identify the appropriate IT enabler to support the business strategy. Define detailed IT-landscape and transformation map based on enterprise requirements. Conduct IT-transformation management process in direction to BPP. Support system optimization. Leverage the capabilities of the SAP's latest technology platform(s) and reinforce their benefits. Implement and support the operation of technical system landscapes. Support setup and connectivity of integrated system landscapes (on-premise, cloud and hybrid) using state-of-the-art methodologies. Engage in technology components-specific expert consulting. Deliver system optimization services, solution proposals, and bid management. Provide customer workshops and trainings. Create project documentation and documentation of delivered services. Show comprehensive understanding of the relevant section of the services portfolio for the respective solution area and key related areas. Deliver according to specification and provide feedback for continuous improvement. Support in solution testing and issue resolution.

 

Education and Qualifications/Skills and Competencies:

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field of study and five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation. The Company will also accept a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field of study and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.

 

Work Experience:

 

  • Define technical architecture, landscape, and underlying integrations between Ariba and SAP systems;
  • Troubleshoot integrations between Ariba apps, and support escalated projects to get the customer back on track;
  • Utilize IDE and write Java code to implement Data Migration for Ariba documents including contract documents, requisition, and purchase orders;
  • Define as-is system process configuration and design “To-BE” system configuration;
  • Document business requirements, functional and technical specifications, and process flows;
  • Identify customer requirements for real-time budget checks, including end-user functionality, and technical failure checks;
  • Support SAP system optimization, performance issues, and status tracking; and
  • Scan code in SAP Open grok to understand interlinks between objects and their properties to assess the feasibility of cloud configuration requirements.

 

Travel: Position requires up to 40% domestic or international travel to various and unanticipated client sites. Telecommuting permitted.

Compensation Range Transparency: The annual base salary range for this position is $106,434 - $136,980. SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is $106,434 - $152,200. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process.
