What you’ll do: 

You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to help shape and refine our AI experience strategy within products by integrating cutting-edge AI technologies into the user experience. Your role will involve providing expert insights on the latest UX best practices, trends, and innovations in AI, helping to drive the creation of seamless and intuitive user interfaces. By leading and inspiring your peers, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our AI-driven design initiatives and elevating the overall user experience of our products across the entire product portfolio.

This role demands an expert who can bridge the gap between AI and UX. You'll possess a deep understanding of user-centered design principles and a proven track record of crafting intuitive interfaces. Your grasp of AI concepts will be crucial, allowing you to collaborate and guide cross-functional teams to seamlessly integrate these functionalities into user experiences. Beyond technical expertise, strong leadership skills are essential. You'll foster a collaborative environment with key stakeholders and design leadership, championing knowledge sharing within the AI design community to stay ahead and create new trends. You'll leverage your experience to mentor future UX designers, equipping them with the skills to seamlessly integrate AI and shape the future of user interaction. 

Expectations and tasks 

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and refine AI experience strategy, aligning it with business goals and user needs 

• Provide expert guidance on AI-related UX best practices, trends, and innovations, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and learning within teams 

• Work closely with product managers, data scientists, and engineers to ensure that AI functionalities are effectively integrated into the product lifecycle 

• Create and build prototypes to make design concepts tangible 

• Collect and analyze user feedback to continuously improve AI-driven user experiences and patterns, addressing pain points and enhancing usability 

• Continuously research and stay up-to-date on the latest design trends and technologies, particularly those shaping the future of AI user experience 

• Champion AI design best practices and methods to establish new patterns that can be contributed back to the design system that ensures consistency and scalability across our product suite 

• Document design processes, user flows, and interaction models that illustrate best practices 

• Build relationships and collaborate closely with SAP´s UX and AI community to enable designers and teams to deliver AI Experiences users trust and love 

• Mentor and collaborate with junior designers and cross teams, fostering a strong design culture 

About you 

• 10+ years of experience in design 

• 5 years of professional experience in application or system design for software solutions 

• Proven experience in user experience design specific to AI with a strong understanding of AI related design principles, patterns, and best practices  

• Experience designing for a variety of user experiences, demonstrating versatility and adaptability 

• A strong understanding of design principles, with a focus on user-centered design, user experience, and user interface design 

• A visionary mindset with a strong ability to identify and capitalize on design trends 

• A keen eye for detail and a strong sense of aesthetics 

• Impeccable communication, negotiation, and collaboration skills, with the ability to inspire and work effectively with diverse teams 

• Proficiency in industry-standard design software (e.g., Figma, Mural, Adobe suite, etc...) 

• A passion for innovation and a desire to push the boundaries of design and elevate experiences to a new level

Compensation Range Transparency: SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the hourly base salary rate range applicable for the posted role.
