What you’ll build

 

 

As a Product Expert (f/m/d) for SAP-managed Integration Services, you will play a key role into shaping the long-term vision and strategy of SAP’s integration portfolio delivered as managed services. You will work collaboratively with an experienced team of Product Managers, take ownership of specific areas of the product roadmap, define enhancements, and lead initiatives to drive product adoption.


 
In this role you will: 

 

 

  • Define and evolve the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for SAP Integration Suite, managed gateway for spend management and SAP Business Network as part of SAP-managed Integration Services, ensuring it aligns with SAP’s overall integration vision and business objectives.
  • Work closely with Engineering and User Experience to deliver holistic product success.
  • Identify opportunities to improve usability, scalability, performance, and cost-efficiency of the product.
  • Balance feature development with operational excellence and long-term product health.
  • Collaborate closely with SAP Business Suite Product Management, SAP Lines of Business (LoBs) and P&E Central Architecture to define requirements, prioritize initiatives, and ensure seamless delivery of integration capabilities that address both customer and "SAP-managed" needs.
  • Communicate the product vision and strategic roadmap effectively to stakeholders, cross-functional teams, and customers.
  • Establish and sustain effective relationships with stakeholders to gain a comprehensive understanding of their needs, challenges, and objectives.
  • Monitor product usage and user satisfaction diligently, and implement corrective measures as needed to ensure optimal adoption outcomes.
  • Share knowledge that scales: produce and maintain high-value assets (product presentations, blogs, micro-learnings, webinars, SAP Learning courses) to enable the internal and external ecosystems.

 

 

What you bring

 

 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, 
  • 10+ years of proven experience with SAP Integration Suite managed gateway for spend management and SAP Business Network and the Cloud Integration capability of SAP Integration Suite
  • Proven experience with SAP CIG (Cloud Integration Gateway) Add-on, SAP S/4HANA Public and Private Edition, SAP Business Network, SAP Ariba, SAP Sales Cloud, Taulia
  • Deep hands-on proficiency with enterprise integration technologies and patterns, including XSLT/XPath, B2B/EDI (e.g., X12/EDIFACT), AS2, and SAP ERP (e.g., IDOCs). Able to design and optimize iFlows/mappings and transformations, configure and manage partner connections and certificates, monitor end-to-end message flows, troubleshoot payload and security issues, and ensure reliable, compliant data exchange. Comfortable with XML/JSON, REST/SOAP APIs, and translating business processes into technical integrations.
  • Deep understanding of the existing out-of-box integration scenarios in SAP Integration Suite, managed gateway for spend management and SAP Business Network
  • Demonstrated experience defining and instrumenting success metrics (KPIs/OKRs), synthesizing quantitative analytics with qualitative user feedback, and iterating responsibly - balancing customer value, technical feasibility, compliance and safety considerations.
  • Uses evidence (experiments, A/B tests, cohort/funnel analysis) to set priorities, measure outcomes, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Ability to translate complex technical capabilities into clear product requirements, user stories, and technical specifications for engineering to execute efectively. 
  • Ability to gather requirements from technical stakeholders and balance competing priorities across available capacity. 
  • Ability to engage deeply with engineering teams on technical design, trade-offs, and feasibility.
  • Ability to clearly articulate product vision, strategy, roadmap and trade-offs to senior leadership.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts clearl and build alignment across all involved stakeholders.
  • Excellent collaborative skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues from various organisations.
  • A passion for innovation, collaboration, and customer success, combined with the ability to navigate ambiguity and lead change in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Fluent English language skills.

This includes SAP Integration Suite—a market-leading enterprise integration platform-as-a-service (EIPaaS) used by over 16,000 customers. It supports integration across heterogeneous and hybrid enterprise landscapes, including A2A and B2B integrations, API Management, event-based integrations, and connectivity with non-SAP applications.

Compensation Range Transparency: SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 220200 - 374200(USD) USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
