Summary:
The IT Business Services Principal Consultant is a fascinating role because it combines technically challenging tasks with customer interaction and management. In collaboration with the customer counterparts, the TLO is responsible for the management and successful operations of the customer’s mission critical landscapes. You interact with SAP experts on customer side. Typical tasks are to discuss operational topics, create service plans and resolve issues.
- Identify top issues, define, and drive implementation of the action items together with the problem manager and the delivery teams.
- Lead technology discussions and act as escalation point for technical issues.
- Support the customer with their cloud transformation journey by taking ownership of the customer landscape during all lifecycle phases: Build, cutover / business go-live and operations.
The Role:
As a IT Business Services Principal Consultant, you are part of an SAP Technology expert team who are the primary SPOCs and E2E responsible for all customer SAP landscapes. The TLO Team is a global team with team members in Germany, Portugal, Mexico and India.
We are looking for an expert in SAP technology and a strong communicator to build a trusting relationship with your customer counterparts.
As a principal level expert, innovation and improvements are critical for success and we expect you to be a go-to person for junior team members, look beyond your role and continuously look for ways to do things better, with higher quality and less effort.
What you bring
- Expert level experience with SAP system administration tools
- Solid experience in technical planning, implementation, configuration, and integration of SAP solutions
- Excellent knowledge of the entire SAP technology stack.
- Deep experience with hyperscalers (Azure).
- Solid understanding of network concepts.
- Ability to proactively identify issues and collaborate closely with all stakeholders to solve them.
- Be the customer advocate within the SAP ECS organization, discussing improvements with all units.
- Understand business drivers for customers to be in private cloud, translating them into technical requirements and cloud solutions.
- Close collaboration with Client Delivery Managers and Project Leads.
- Mentor and guide junior members of the team.
You may be required to work on weekends/off hours during critical customer escalations or go-lives.
