The Role:

The Global Authentication team oversees the internal corporate identity service for over 150,000 user accounts at SAP. We manage the end-to-end delivery of authentication services, including cloud-native authentication like SAML and OpenID Connect, and Enterprise Applications administration and support.

We are currently seeking a dynamic and innovative professional to join our team in Lisbon as an Authentication Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for the implementation and management of authentication systems, password security, single sign-on solutions, and access management.
 

What you’ll do

  • Work together with a team of technical experts to ensure ongoing security and stability of Active Directory infrastructure / Azure Active Directory (Entra ID) and related services.
  • Contribute towards the implementation and optimization of authentication systems.
  • Coordinate deployment and rollout of new services.
  • Design, develop, test, implement, and integrate applications with enterprise authentication standards and tools.
  • Evaluate new solutions and develop the necessary components to incorporate new technologies securely.
  • Collaborate with project teams, stakeholders, and colleagues to ensure successful delivery of IAM services.

 

Required:

  • Working experience in Active Directory, Azure Active Directory (Entra ID).
  • Strong background in Security and Authentication technologies e.g. FIDO2, MFA
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills – communicating with others, problem solving and decision making.
  • Positive attitude, sociable, a team player who is service oriented.
  • Ability to work without supervision and take ownership of assigned tasks.
  • Willingness to accept additional responsibilities.
  • Excellent in English, both written and verbal.
