About the team

Our team, under T&I board area, creates the latest products/services in the SAP BTP Platform. We use the latest Cloud technology trends, working methods and mindset. We aim to bring the next level of technology innovation to our customers.

We are a very experienced team, we always help each other, love to bring in new people to share with us the passion of developing and creating quality software.

The project

We will be building two new cloud managed services to provide PostgreSQL and Redis instances to SAP BTP users. The services aim to help SAP internal and external clients to have a seamless experience when in the need of a database or caching service. Given the connection to SAP Core Infrastructure this project is a major priority for SAP and BTP.

What you’ll do

• Help lead the team with your technical expertise and love for coding / technology.
• Guide building and maintaining a complex BTP Cloud Services that are deployed in Cloud environment.
• Learn new technologies, help the team adopt state of the art technologies and innovate.
• Define coding best practices and guidelines for clean code.
• Drive and participate in design discussions on the best way forward to build the services.
• If you want, you can explore DevOps world using Infrastructure as Code methodologies.
• Collaborate with the team to work on and improve the agile practices.
• Be part of the team: party up with a highly skilled engineer team and work/learn with some of the best engineers in the software industry.
• Be part of product development at SAP, where we build and deploy the next generation of SAP products.

What you’ll bring

• Love for software development and learning.
• Deep TypeScript/Node.js experience or similar programming languages.
• Deep Git knowledge.
• Containerization and Orchestration knowledge (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Cloud development principals (the 12-factors) is beneficial.
• IaaS experience with at least one Cloud Provider (AWS, Azure or GCP).
• Confidence working within Unix / Linux shell environments.
• Cloud DevOps knowledge is beneficial (eg: Jenkins, Concourse, Terraform, etc..).
• Ability to speak and write English fluently is mandatory.
