Your role

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer (f/m/d) for the recently founded Quality Assurance team as part of SAP’s Sovereign Cloud Organization. With the buildout of new Sovereign Cloud regions, you will be taking part in laying the foundation for a unified and competitive business in the regulated industry.

In this role, you should have good problem-solving skills, an understanding of Cloud Infrastructure, and expertise in Network and Network Security administration.

What you'll do

• Build cloud infrastructure/network solutions
• Configure and implement Network and Security platforms and their associated software
• Analyze deployment issues and support continuous improvement of implementation documentation; gather requirements, review application architectures
• Maintaining the integrity and security of servers and systems
• Work in a diverse environment and cross-train with other global team members

What you bring

Must have

• Git Knowledge
• Expertise in Terraform and Ansible
• Expertise with Linux, SUSE
• HashiCorp Vault knowledge
• Experience implementing security with VPC, IAM, Security Groups, UTM solutions, NACLS, etc.), provision infrastructure on hyperscalers, and scale applications
• Debugging/Troubleshooting skills
• Ability to multitask and handle various projects, deadlines and changing priorities
• Excellent communication and prioritization skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
• Due to the potentially classified nature of our work, your willingness is required to subject yourself to a governmental security clearance process.

Nice to have

• Expertise in Identity is a plus
• AWS Directory Service
• PowerShell driven script execution
• OpenVPN use with FIDO
• SAML, OIDC, and SCIM
• SSH tooling/agent configurations e.g., Tenable agent, AIDE, iptables, SELINUX, clamav is a plus
• Relevant Cloud (Azure, AWS, GCP) and network (e.g., Cisco, F5) industry certifications will be an asset
