Summary:
We're looking for a talented (Junior) Developer to join our crew in Potsdam/Berlin as part of the SAP BTP Cross Projects organization. You'll play a key role in enhancing the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) and paving the way for a more flexible enterprise future. Our mission is to develop BTP’s capabilities and support key projects, contributing significantly to enterprise software development.
Currently, we're busy delivering features for SAP Build Process Automation and collaborating with Product Engineering and BTP Service teams to work on joint priorities. Our dynamic assignments require individuals who can adapt to new challenges and continually develop their skills. We seek someone comfortable with encountering new topics regularly. This position involves a balanced mix of conceptual work and practical activities.
The Role:
- Team up with tech enthusiasts to create innovative features for a range of products and exciting projects.
- Dive into software design options and share your insights to help shape our path forward.
- Embrace the chance to learn continuously, from the latest tech trends to strategic business insights.
- Evaluate SAP's current solutions, spotting opportunities to improve function and user experience.
What you bring:
- Educational Background: A degree or significant practical experience in software development.
- Programming Skills: Proficiency in at least one nominally typed language (e.g., Java, C#) and one structurally typed language (e.g., TypeScript, Go).
- Technical Proficiency: Expertise in multiple technology stacks, with the ability to choose the right tools for the job.
- Software Craftsmanship: Commitment to Clean Code, refactoring, Unit Testing, and Test-Driven Development (TDD).
- Design Patterns & Testing: Knowledge of Decoupling, Test Isolation, and Dependency Injection Frameworks.
- DevOps Practices: Experience with Containerization (like Kubernetes, CloudFoundry) and Continuous Delivery pipelines.
- SAP Knowledge: Familiarity with SAP technologies and business applications is a plus.
- Communication: Excellent communicator with fluency in English - both written and spoken
