PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

The Leonardo & Analytics Engineering unit is a strategic development entity within SAP, combining software engineering excellence with thought leadership and entrepreneurial spirit. Across various focus clusters (Machine Learning, Healthcare, IoT, Innovation Center Network including Blockchain and Scala etc.) and by building on strong teams, we pioneer game-changing solutions in close collaboration with customers and partners in industry and research as well as with other SAP units.

We are looking for an Operations Associate to support the COO Team of the current Chief Innovation Officer and, effective January 1st, 2019, future Member of the Executive Board. You will work closely with the Board Office and other operations teams as well as their offices.

You will have the opportunity to take responsibility and foster relationships with stakeholders, e.g. from senior management and board offices. You will ensure smooth office processes, while looking after the operation of daily office functions and duties. This is an ideal role for a very structured and open-minded individual with an interest to work in a technology-focused environment.

This role will be based out of Potsdam, Germany.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

As a Operations Associate, you will have the great opportunity to work in a role that combines content-related project work with organizational and administrative tasks:

  • Act as a first point of contact for the team
  • Assist with travel booking, expenses and event management
  • Ensure smooth office processes including invoice management, Purchase Order creation and handling of workflows
  • Plan and execute meetings, events, and trips
  • Ensure Student coordination and advice
  • Provide recruiting support if needed
  • Act as contact person for vendors, customers, and partners to coordinate events

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Commercial office training or similar
  • 1-2 years of relevant work experience in business administration, management support, project management, or event management
  • Professional and impeccable conduct towards colleagues and customers
  • Outstanding organizational, time management and planning skills
  • Commitment to operational excellence in assigned tasks
  • Team-oriented and hands-on working style, open-mindedness, intercultural sensitivity
  • Proficient with communication and presentation tools (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
  • Excellent level of English and German, both written and spoken
