Project & Communication Manager (f/m/d) for the SAP Innovation Center Network (T1/T2)

YOUR FUTURE ROLE
As the Project and Communication Manager (f/m/d) at the SAP Innovation Center Network, you will:

  • Help the team teams to evolve to high-performing, self-organized agile teams. 
  • Help the team lead find techniques for effective project backlog management 
  • Arrange the project backlog in a way that ensures the needed work is well understood so the team can continually make forward progress and maximize value.
  • Encourage continuous improvement
  • Articulate the value of the project within internal and external stakeholders
  • Write public announcements 
  • Help to determine progress through the use of metrics
  • Lead small to midsize projects in the development organization with a moderate level of risk and complexity. Ensures to meet program-specific goals (scope, quality, budget, time)
  • Provide inbound and outbound communication
  • Support stakeholder management: provide transparency on project status, active alignment with stakeholders, ensures timely escalation
  • Support project delivery according to program-specific goals (scope, time, quality, budget) ready for customer usage

 

YOUR PROFILE

  • 3+ years of work experience steering the direction of a project or major initiative in the context of enterprise software
  • Education background in Business and Computer Science related studies or equivalent would be a plus
  • Knowledge of agile methodology and frameworks
  • Knowledge of other Agile approaches, like Kanban, Crystal, FDD, XP, etc.
  • Basic knowledge of software development processes and procedures 
  • Knowledge about tasks, backlog tracking, burndown metrics, velocity, user stories, etc.
  • Familiar with common development practices, Service-oriented environments, and Agile practices.
  • Outstanding organizational skills
  • JIRA/Confluence or similar tools experience
  • Degree in Computer Science, Business or similar field
  • Fluency in the English language (German is a plus)

The mission of the SAP Innovation Center Network (ICN) is to contextualize and pioneer emerging technologies that will be foundational for the future success of SAP and of our customers. We are a diverse, global team and collaborate across roles, functions, and locations, enabling every colleague to contribute and investigate new ideas. We identify and contextualize emerging technologies to define their value for business and society. With around 200 development, business, and design experts worldwide, the ICN is geared up to make an impact. We work on articulating and prototyping visions of enterprise software beyond the current roadmaps, investigating the most important jobs-to-be-done in the enterprise, and run projects to take us closer to fully autonomous enterprise software.
